I was driving in Arizona, Nevada, and California three years ago and the road quality in California had definitely deteriorated in comparison to AZ and NV.

I suspect that California’s current infrastructure problems are a direct result of NOT spending infrastructure maintenance money for the past 20 years and instead spending the money on overly paid bureaucrats and social programs.

California, you have made your bed, now you get to sleep in it.

Some freeways in L.A. look like they haven't been maintained since the Brady Bunch was filmed there. :)

AZ and NV have a lot of perfect new roadways - it is a jarring contrast.
