Trump is Suddenly Recognized as The President in CALIFORNIA as Liberal State BEGS for His Help
Tea Party ^ | 2/12/2017 | Gateway Pundit Staff

After repeatedly attacking and criticizing President Trump, the State of California is officially asking for his help as they have run short of resources in wake of severe weather that has caused significant damage in the state.

From Fox40:

Gov. Jerry Brown has asked President Trump to declare a major disaster for California because of damage from January storms.

The letter sent Friday says the relentless series of storms caused flooding, mudslides, evacuations, erosion, power outages and at least eight deaths. Northern California was hardest hit.

Brown says the storm system was so severe and widespread that state and local governments need federal assistance to continue dealing with the problems it created.

Governor Brown has made his disgust for President Trump known in the past as Breitbart reports that back in March of 2016 Governor Brown said “If Trump were ever elected, we’d have to build a wall around California to defend ourselves from the rest of this country,” which Brown later said was “a joke.”

In addition to snarky comments made from Brown, add in the hateful rhetoric of Maxine Waters who is calling from Trump’s impeachment because in her words, “This is the most outrageous and ridiculous President that this country has ever had.” That statement pretty much embodies how most of the politicians in California feel about President Trump.

Also consider Calexit. There is a growing movement in California to leave the rest of the United States since the state has become so liberal that it doesn’t come even close to where most states are at politically.

Then throw in the ruling of the Ninth Circuit Court (located in CA) this last week which blocked Trump’s Travel Ban and put the country at risk and now President Trump has a decision to make.

President Trump will almost certainly provide aide if it is needed in the state as it is the right thing to do but Californians should be careful about viciously attacking the President and then turning around and asking for a handout.

Correct. The Enviros bitterly opposed the construction of the Oroville Dam. They didn’t like it then and they hate it now. Kalifornia State Government hates dams and water projects and wants to return rivers to their natural state while letting in millions of Third World illegals.

If Kalifornia wants to fix the Oroville dam let them get the money from Hollywood or Mexico. ‘Ef ‘em.

IF President Trump sends money, it’ll be packaged with 14 accountants and a Yuge padlock. Not one red cent would be sidetracked for illegal immigrant subsidies.

If I were Trump, I would not send money which would be used to enrich Dem cronies in the CA construction industry. I would use this as an opportunity to give some training to the Army Corps of Engineers. Let the military do it.

perhaps it would give the Corps of Engineers something useful to do for a change!

Reminds me our our then troubled teenage daughter screaming at her mother about how much she hated her.

Then she would turn right around and ask her mom if she would give her a ride to the mall.

Moonbeam and Kalifornia are the troubled teenagers of this country.

President Trump, provide “aide”. Perhaps even two! But hold the dollars for “aid.”

I have an absolutely spectacular idea for Gov. Moonbeam and his Hispandering Legislature.

Take all that money they want to provide in the form of free health care coverage to the Criminal Invaders and buy materials to fix the dam.

Red counties of the valley and the northern half (Jefferson identity) vote. The trick is controlling placement of the money, ensuring it reaches the correct people and areas. Seems there was an administrator placed in charge of Federal disbursements in the Deepwater Horizon incident.

As California evidently has not done proper planning and maintenance of critical structure, they can’t really squawk if oversight of Federal aide resides with an appointee and not in state official’s hands. That’s how reconstruction is handled.

Where’s Meryl Streep when they need her...

Are we absolutely sure her singing didn't contribute to that dam starting to fail? Just sayin'

First ask them for a full accounting of every penny of “stimulus” money AND all federal funds sent to them

At the same time, how much are they spending on ILLEGALS (not “undocumented”)

Help them, before this stupid damn breaks, then ask why they didn’t spend stimulus money on stuff like that, and throw cronies in jail.

" What happened to all that stimulus money that was voted for “shovel-ready” jobs?"

No new money until there is a certified accounting for the spending of the 'shovel-ready' lot. Probably all went to cronies, unions and Democrat Party operatives.

I own a house on the Sacramento river that is in direct path of the flood waters and already has "some" damage from the flood. I also have a great many friends and family that also live in direct path of Orville and other local dams that are in jeopardy. One very good friend owns a ranch that is a few feet underwater as we speak. Those who I have talked with about the situation and I concur about federal aid and if Trump should provide it. The general consensus is that ... though we personally could benefit from that aid ... we don't believe that federal aid should be provided to the state. The dam and the water problems have been on going for a great many years here in California. The states government has squandered and embezzled federal and state tax money for all those years. Money set aside to address these problems has been re-directed by California's corrupt government to democratic pet projects AND illegal alien causes (to get votes) for as long as any of us can remember. What makes ANYONE thing that any federal aid sent now won't also be "re-directed". No my friends ... though the individual citizen could use the help ... charities could provide that ... California needs to handle this emergency without federal aid. The state in general has become a petulant spoiled child who is in desperate need of a good spanking. Sometimes that out-of-control teenager needs to spend a night in jail. This disaster pales in significance to the disaster facing California if it's governments policies continue unchecked. If any federal aid is provided ... there needs to be very close oversight of the funds to make sure that the California government does NOT get its grubby completely corrupt hands on it. Those funds need to be SPECIFICALLY directed to where it is most needed and oversight is required to make sure that is spent where it was meant to be used.

This is my vested opinion (I could easily lose my house) along with the several dozen other people who I have spoken with who also have vested interest in this.

“People, no gloating, please. These are CONSERVATIVE counties in California.”

What Californians consider ‘conservative’ there of the country considers moderate-left.

This flooding is unfortunate but what Kalifornians don't seem to realize is that all of their messing with their economy and burdensome regulations to "control" the climate, may have caused these disastrous floods. You can't fool Mother Nature (or try to take her place).

Most of the coastal areas are liberal bastions of nuts and seeds, fruitcakes and pixie dusters. Where are the mega-millionaires from Hollywood who talk the talk but never walk the walk? Spend some of their own money. Put your collective mega-bucks where your condescending mouths are.

I think Kalifornia is already billions over budget on their boondoggle high speed bullet train between LA and SF that's not necessary but on liberal's wish list. It is years from completion. Some of that wasted money can go to help themselves.

Or maybe they can fast-walk their secession efforts up and when they're free of the "bonds' of the good ole US of A, they can request some sort of foreign disaster aid from the Palestinians or Venezuela or Cuba or Iran or....well....you get my drift.

Trump should honor their request for disaster aid. It's the right thing to do. But Trump being Trump and the master of the Art Of the Deal, he shouldn't send them any funds directly. Tell them the feds will credit their account for the funds they owe the US taxpayers, which they've promised not to forward to the US Treasury in protest against the Trump presidency. They can use those funds to fix their problems instead of asking for more.

“Obama also denied Nashville disaster funds when it flooded”

IIRC, TN didn’t ask Uncle Sugar for help in Nashville. I could be wrong, but that was the story we were hearing. It would be the difference between TN people (self sufficient) and CA people (whining, helpless powder puffs).

And Trump should tell Brown he’ll consider the request for assistance if/when he gets a handle on the UC State College system. Tame the animals, the animal trainers (profs), the zookeeper (Janet Napolitano), and permit free speech without threat of violence.
