There is no rule that requires that a member of the US Senate has to be civil, or intelligent, or even sober. Just that they be over the age of 35. And in Massachusetts, it would be even harder to find somebody who is not an amoral scalawag. So it all makes sense that you end up with Elizabeth (Princess Liawatha) Warren, following in the fine tradition of John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, and so on.

Once the people of MA did vote an R for that seat, Scott Brown, to replace Kennedy, the lionofthesenate, to do one thing to stop the ACA being passed.

The D's ignored that small miracle, real obvious to anyone paying attention, to their utter defeat for the next 7 years!
