On paper, maybe. Most of them went from being undereducated youths who, on the backs of some talent, moved right into the “bubble” that is the lifestyle. They still carry the sensibilities of their early background. Probably why a lot of the country stars tend toward a patriotic outlook.
These entertainers are part of a multi-million dollar corporation that bears their name. How much they will come away with after their lawyers, agents & business managers take their cut is an open question.
I suppose I could watch.But rants and riots aren't new to me...I live within about 20 minutes of Harvard Square (yah,*that* Harvard).
They give awards to grandmothers now? Who knew???
Seriously, I can’t figure out why anyone would want to waste time and effort watching the 1% of the 1%ers get up, pat themselves on the back, then act like they’re just like us “little people”. And now, if they are going to start lecturing us on the eeeeeeevils of Trump and everything they disagree with, I have two words for them. One’s an adverb and the other’s a pronoun.
The Hallmark Channel and the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel has on family-friendly movies. I’ll be watching one of those channels. I don’t even know (or care to know) who most of these so-called singers are anyway.
Perhaps we should make a list of all the Companies that run commercials during the Grammy’s , and do a BOYCOTT of all the companies?
It will be like the reaction Target and Kellog’s that took major hits.
For the record, I will never shop or buy a product from the following companies ever again that clearly have demonstrated they hate America.
1) . McDonalds for pushing Obamacare. The last time I was in McDonalds was in 2011. Really since about 2001 think I only been in McDonalds maybe 10 times or 1 time a year. Usually when I was traveling on the road.
2) Target Stores for pushing the Transgender nonsense. It’s sad beacuse I really like Target’s products. It’s an upscale Walmart in my opinion. This one was not easy.
3) . Starbucks when they said they were against the second Amendment and bringing guns into their coffee shops.
I only liked their Frappuccinos. Their coffees smells good, but taste burnt and gives me a headache. Most of all I don’t like paying about $4 for a cup of coffee in a cheap a$$ cup that requires a special holder so you don’t burn and a cap that leaks more than 1/2 the time.
Anyhow, there are a lot better coffee shops and even at some gas stations they are better like Kangaroo (formerly known as BP) Wawa and even Sheetz.
Well... This is why they use the orchestra to que the award winner to get off. They used to flick a “hurry up” light... Until Stevie...

They can say what they want, they will be preaching to the choir anyhow.
They will be in echo chamber (as usual), ranting to their own choir. If I were at the FCC I would hit the master kill switch after the first F-bomb which should come early.
Stories like this make me laugh. They keep breaking records on how little people are watching them now, and they just double down. They might as well have their own private, self-congratulatory parties and not bother televising it. It serves the same purpose.
It is offensive enough to have national uniting events like the Superbowl get hijacked by the left like BLM and homosexual pride a year ago, to a degree surprising and disengaging people. The Superbowl management at least realized the problem and told Gaga “no politics”.
The Grammy’s have not only not learned this lesson but trumpet the reason why many shouldn’t watch. Even if you agree with their politics, you may not want to listen to them parade it and inject it into every talk, each trying to outdo the other.
Hope some Freeper with a strong stomach will watch and list the craziest rants. I wouldn’t want to buy that persons music,
