U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials are fighting back against false reports of checkpoints and sweeps during the ongoing operation targeting criminal (ICE) aliens. “Reports of ICE checkpoints and sweeps are false, dangerous and irresponsible,” ICE officials wrote in a statement obtained by Breitbart Texas. “These reports create mass panic and put communities and law enforcement personnel in unnecessary danger. Any groups falsely reporting such activities are doing a disservice to those they claim to support.”
Media outlets have been reporting statements by community activists that appear to be aimed at instilling fear and false information about the ICE’s Operation Crosscheck, a program targeting criminal aliens and those with immigration court removal orders.
“Our community has seen an increase of ICE activity where we have heard ICE agents are going to people’s homes and detaining people,” Cristina Jimenez, executive director of United We Dream, said, according to NBCNews.

While denying sweeps and checkpoints, ICE should thank the MSM for the ideas.
These are pretty much the same enforcement actions that occurred under Obama. At least the garbage coming from the enemedia should discourage new illegal aliens.
Aggressive deportations are certainly desirable, but given the fact that there are upwards of 40 million illegals in this country, you've got to fight this on multiple fronts to make a dent.
You'd have to round up and deport over 27,000 illegals per DAY to get rid of them all, within four years time.
In my view, it's much better, and more efficient to simply starve them out. Take away their jobs and their welfare benefits, and the vast majority will simply go home all on their own, without us having to lift a finger.
That merely takes the implementation of the E-Verify system for all U.S. employers, and the cutting off of all welfare benefits to anyone other than U.S. citizens.
Do those two things, and the country will empty out of illegals virtually overnight.
I rather like the “mass panic.”
It causes illegals to freak and head home on their own.
It also causes liberals’ heads to explode.
The MSM is the Country’s greatest threat.

I know you’re right! I just went thru the hoops to get my two grandchildren driver licenses. For me how do you get through this process as an illegal? They required birth certificates, ID cards, utility bills, SSN cards, school ID’s, etc. With each born in the USA, was quite a process of identification. I just question how illegals get thru this process or is just TX?
In states like California, the gov't drones and bureaucrats just turn a blind eye and process the illegals through the system with whatever documentation the illegals give them. Matters not if their docs meet the legal requirements or not.
Texas is much stricter. Here, they're forced to obtain forged documents to get into the system. At least that's how I understand it.

IMO, the whole system needs to be defunded and dismantled.
Eliminate ALL welfare.
That is, if you don't have to shoot them.
Scare the cr@p out of them so they leave while they still can.
The attempts to generate incidents and shootings, breakouts of murder and confrontations on the streets... are transparent to Americans in the RED zones.

i still say hit the employers with a $10,000 per head fine on illegal workers the first time, $50,000 the second and forfeiture of property for third knowing and willful conviction with no work they will all self deport, but we gotta make it hurt
then tell all the welfare rats here are you new jobs, third time you turn one down or third fireing you lose all benefits
