During Super Bowl weekend 522 would-be sex buyers or sex traffickers were arrested
across the United States.
The arrests follow a massive sting operation involving 23 law enforcement agencies in
14 states taking part in the National Johns Suppression Initiative. The program started
three weeks ago and culminated on Super Bowl Sunday.
"Sex trafficking continues to destroy countless lives, and this broad national movement
should send a strong message to prospective johns that their 'hobby' is much more than
a 'victimless' crime," said Illinois Sheriff Thomas J. Dart in a press release.
"It's particularly meaningful that this sting culminated on the day of the Super Bowl, which
unfortunately has emerged as a prominent haven for sex trafficking."

What a monumental waste of law enforcement time and resources.
Who pays for sex?
What was the over/under on that in Vegas?
Most were hired by Roger Goodell. It was the only was he could get some.
A guy at work said he found some guy getting a BJ from a hooker in a dumpster.
Sick
Anyone who has ever said "I do"?
Touche
LOL..........
Illinois????
Given that the profession they're patronizing frequently resorts to kidnapping of women and children to meet demand, I don't agree.
You really know you’re in trouble when the hooker you just hooked up with was hauled off by cops wearing hazmat suits.
Oh, and I highly doubt that the county heath department has a cure for that.

Couldn’t agree more. Prostitution is rarely a ‘victimless crime’.
Who pays? Every male...every single time. It’s never free.
Ding ding ding!!! Winner!!!
I once heard a man who was on his third marriage (which ended shortly thereafter) and was paying child support to his first two wives say proudly, “I have never paid a woman for sex.” I waited until out of his hearing before I laughed myself silly.
If only the government were this energetic in rounding up illegal aliens and terrorists.
Wow, this whole area could be a long thread unto itself.
Any women freepers want to weigh in? In your life, have the men in your lives “paid” for sex, in one way or another???
I want to keep this clean. But I’ve heard it said, that some men “pay” in the form of marriage; that marriage in exchange for the access to a woman’s body is “payment” by the man.
And I’ve heard that short of marriage, by being in a relationship with a woman, being her constant companion 24.7 will also constitute payment.
And we’ve all heard about how you take a woman to dinner, that somehow that’s paying towards a sweet tasty gratifying dessert with her.
I know a man, who was a “sugar daddy”, and met girls on the internet from sites which cater to that. He implied he was paying the bills of these girls, and implied that he was getting everything he ever dreamed of, as far as “companionship”, he used the word “companionship” a lot in describing how they meet privately, and also have dinner and dating.
Then you can arrest them for kidnapping and a myriad of sexual crimes. Arresting and paying $30k/year for incarceration costs (and lost tax revenue from the johns) for what two consenting adults do though - whether its $200 cash, paying for someone’s car payment, or shelling out big bucks at a club to impress the fairer sex - is a colossal waste of time and money.
