I,personally, don't give a rat's hindquarters how much it costs or who pays for it.There can be no doubt that it will cost billions...more than a few billions. And we must understand that due to various things beyond Trump's control (Congress...the courts) he may not be able to keep his promise that Mexico,or Mexicans, will pay for it

Just get the damn thing built!

"Trump needs to look into convict labor. Pay them a small hourly wage so the batshit-crazies can’t have a cow. They make money, get some fresh air and exercise, and the govt saves money, a win-win."

And put Boss in charge!

I just saw Sen. Tillis (R-Cheap Labor Express) on Fox News talking about a new “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” bill.
These snakes never give up.
They still want amnesty.

Convict labor is a great idea many would be glad to be in the open areas after all they have a debt to pay it’s a win win deal.

An old friend sent me this 2 1/2 minute video produced by another trouble-making Trump fan.
I suggest you watch and share it quickly as the Google and FB Thought Police will probably pull it when some libtard reports it!
I added the music track and, yes, I pushed the music track level to drown out obozo’s voice a bit as 8 years was 8 years too long! But you get the thrust of the comments!
Anyone who STILL doesn’t “get” the insanity and hypocrisy of the Left and the Democrats (but I repeat myself) should not be allowed out unattended let alone be allowed to VOTE!

“...the Department of Homeland Security that estimated the price of a wall along the entire border at $21.6 billion.”

Edward Snowden told the Washington post that the 2012 black budget was 52.8 billion. Sounds like 21.6 billion is a deal.

Mr. President, just build the WALL. I don’t mind if it costs a bit extra. In fact, if you make the deal too good, I might catch winning aids.

United States Department of Homeland Security has a 2016 budget of 41.2 billion dollars, and has more than 240,000 employees. That’s what they deign to tell us, anyhow.

What if we created a gofundme web page to collect $10 here and there and we give it to the Fed for the wall once we see bulldozers in Texas.

Look how much JIll Stein raised, we could raise a lot and it would be a state, net against the propaganda Left with MSM lap dog

Thoughts?

Defer some of the cost by charging corporations and others a fee to place advertising on the wall!

I saw a MIT estimate for 10’ deep, 30’ high, 1’ thick concrete. Everything costed at top cost levels, structural concrete, etc. They had their agenda.

Israel’s is effective with a mix of structural forms - fences, walls, etc. It’s what you do with those attempting a breach that counts.

With various monitoring methods, including today’s drone capabilities (like pattern flight) with video, IR and other goodies on-board, monitoring and alerting will be a pretty automated thing.

Then, drones can dye-mark, etc., followed by fast and furious response forces with kill power.

Sadly, so are other big projects throughout the country. Trump is going to trim a lot of sails.

Absolutely true, we can’t just build a wall, we must support the wall with law enforcement, corrections, and court equipment and personnel, and support those personnel, too.

Trump construction projects usually come in ahead of schedule and under budget.

Literally ON the border ? If they weren’t chained together they could escape prison by simply stepping across into Mexico. If they are chained together, they are not going to be very efficient construction workers.

Better to use convict labor on levees and such inside the country and the Army Corp of Engineers, who we are already paying for at relatively low wages, to build the wall.

Using the Army Corps of Engineers would bypass those union patronizing laws, I think.

Doubtful. Those “leaked” numbers are from a design study done long before Trump. Trump said just a few days ago that HIS design had just started.

With Trump in there, I’m more prone to like an idea like that - but, we are already paying our taxes which will be the bucket where that money actually comes from. I donate to FR and to Trump every month - won’t pay extra for something I’m already paying for - if the whole Congress was like Trump, I might consider it, but there are way too many still eager to throw money away to buy personal career security.
