Franken is pure trash. Everything about him is trash.
I was nauseated by his self importance on a movie set in the late 1990s. A true napoleon complex. He definitely likes himself enough.

This comment is not made to be contentious, but rather to offer an alternative way of regarding the "Phenomenon of Franken" and others like Ventura and Tufts.
From our position as reasonably well educated and informed citizens the election of buffoons such as these seems to be a freakish anomaly. Indeed the past eight years could be described the same way - with the plurality of the electorate seeming to have either a death wish or at the least an addict's penchant for self destruction.
But what we fail to realize (I fear) is that these elections are not anomalous. They are the natural result of an electorate thoroughly dumbed down and living by the sound bite image.
They do not see the reality of Trump as an astute pragmatist and Franken as shallow ideologue. They see Trump="Mean!" and Franken="Funny!".
They like funny more than mean.
This results in stunning elections.
And those results give us Al Franken on the Senate Judiciary Committee.
This is also why (much to the chagrin of the stolid GOP that has made a habit of playing this losing game by "their" rules) Trump shook things up with bold and (seemingly) outrageous comments.
This is why he got down in the mud pit to wrestle with Rosie and her ilk.
This is why he shot his mouth off, grabbing headlines and getting the Legacy Media to involuntarily give him more exposure than he could ever hope to buy with campaign money.
He is teaching us that we have to take them seriously.
And that if we do, we can win sunning victories, just as he did.

He got boxes and boxes of ballots counted that were found at in car trunks days after he lost his electin.
Every Republican who can find a pair should mention that he stole his seat via vote fraud anytime they mention that POS.

If Franken is the best MN can send to the Senate, it is really a shame. They even cheated, having several recounts, to get this clown elected in the first place. More disturbingly, they voted to give him another term two years ago. Judging by their representation, some states in our union don’t have a clue and don’t deserve respect.
