Former Army Maj. Gen. Ronald Lewis will retire from the U.S. Army at the rank of brigadier general after allegations of using official government credit cards at strip clubs in two different countries.

An Army spokesman confirmed Thursday that Lewis used government credit cards at strip clubs in Korea and Italy, had “improper interactions” with women, all while traveling on official business. Lewis served as a senior military aide to former Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter at the time of his indiscretion.

Why is he not in jail? That is theft and to allow him to retire is a slap in the face to honorable veterans. Allowing these ppl in government service to “quietly retire” is just wrong.

With the old cards, you could swipe it through the slot, but with the new chipped ones, you stick it in and have to leave it in until the transaction is completed.

So he lost a star.I wonder what would have happened if he had chosen to go to court martial rather than take an “Article 15”.Maybe he could have kept the star he lost.

All aircrew get a government credit card. We all knew it was for reimbursable expenses, such as lodging and rental cars. Anything else, I put on my own credit card. If you didn’t have your own card, you could use it for meals, but I never did, because I wanted the miles or the GM card 5%.

There’s no excuse for this bullsh1t. He’s a thief and should have been court marshaled, serve 10 years in jail and lose his retirement pay.

I knew Ron Lewis when he was the Cdr of 1-227 ATK at Hood. He was a fast riser and full of himself. He drank his own bathwater, abused his rank and power and it caught up to him.

Before you ask that question about the good general, direct it about Hitlary Clinton for what she did against this country, the cause of death to an ambassador and military personnel and then “walking away”. There is NO JUSTICE, its “Just Us”.
