It is a pretty good article. The information about the history of the 60’s and 70’s is great.
But much of what he states is simply overstated, particularily about the institutions of the left.
Most of the support for the left comes from the media. The media just went all out to nominate, then defeat Trump.
They could not get it done. They are a waning power. If the media becomes fragmented and essentially neutral, as appears to be happening, most of the power of the left is gone. Just gone.
In all of his examples, the leftist violent groups were eventually destroyed. It is much easier to do that now. The digital trails left by everyone now make it nearly impossible to operate in groups without being discovered. The problem of informants is every bit as bad for the left as for the right, may be more so.
A key tell will be what happens now that one of the attackers in the Berkley riot has been identified (from digital media). He is being investigated by the FBI. We will see if conspiracy charges are leveled at others in his “Black block”.
The left owned the media from about 1960-65 on. It was the key to their victory. They no longer have that power, and all the left has grown up accustomed to having it and relying on it.
