Excellent point, the “extreme vetting” must be finalized and implemented as rapidly as possible. It will also be challenged in court, I’m sure, but can serve most of the practical needs of greatly constricting the flow of dangerous people. Put the burdens of proof on the individuals applying to show they are safe and make the standards of evidence very high.

Not that one knows what is really in someone’s head about jihad if they are good at deception, but we can place some high hurdles for them all.

I read an article a couple of weeks ago. Sorry don’t remember where.

The article said one thing the Trump administration wants to do as part of the vetting procedures is for the government of the foreign country to provide the US with info on the person seeking the visa.

The article specifically said, Iran refuses to provide any information on their citizens to the US for purposes of granting a visa.

This is one simple way to enhance the vetting process. Require foreign governments to provide a “dossier” on someone applying for a visa. That takes the number of visas issued to Iranian nationals to ZERO.

The extreme vetting is the Trophy, not the temporary Travel Ban. In fact, its been nearly 3 weeks since Trump issued the EO. By the time the Supreme Court hears the case and issues a ruling, the 90 temporary Ban will have expired on its own!
