Winter Storm Niko will bring heavy snow to a sizable swath of the Interstate 95 Northeast corridor through Thursday. Many areas will pick up 6 to 12 inches of snow during this quick-hitting storm, with snowfall rates topping one inch per hour at times.

The snow will make for difficult road travel and will likely trigger significant flight delays Thursday in Boston, New York City and Philadelphia.

They’re naming these things?

And for what is a fairly average winter snow. Gosh, hope everyone got milk and bread. That superabundance of French Toast isn't going to make itself.

Meh. Got a little more than 2 inches of snow and it’s just about stopped. Forecast was 6 to 8 by daybreak. Most of it came down as rain last night.

Ever notice that whenever there is a snow storm in the NE, effecting major population areas, it’s the “storm of the century”? For goodness sake people, it’s winter, which means there will be snow. Live with it like the people in the mid-west have to. Don’t fret, spring is on its way so live your life with a little inconvenience for a day or so..... (I suppose we could call them “snow flakes” nah!) Buy a few six packs and enjoy the days ahead, you can’t change it anyway.

I am just a little Southeast of you in Scituate ,and as of 9:25 AM a snowflake hasn't fallen yet.

Temp is 37, but the wind is picking up and the temp will fall and the snow will start here along the coast.

Enjoy that coffee and pastry while watching the storm.-Tom

Just finished a plate of FT; been waiting all winter for some. And a lousy 3-5” here in southern PA, while New England is having all the fun.

I’ll be darned-—I thought that it was a south to north storm-——I haven’t turned a TV on yet because storm coverage is usually so over-the top it’s laughable.:-)

Drinking the coffee now———the pastry comes later.

I’m in Jersey today. Snowfall of at least 6” and falling steadily. Snow plough is already keeping road clear in this quiet town.

Brother Bob , who is well known in Boston, is down in South Breach till March, holding forth the word of life, and he also says you can't beat the weather!

"....Winter Storm Niko to Become a Northeast Snowstorm [as if you didn't know:)]...."

I live in rural Florida on a cattle farm. I am not aware of, nor do I care, that a winter storm is hitting the northeast. That's why I don't live there.

The world does not revolve around them. They just think it does....

I am glad it does not and thank God for the Red States (should be blue, but the liberal media made conservatives Red, least they be linked to their comrades) where there is typically more Christian faith.

I used to work at a dairy (about 350 heads of Holsteins) but we are here to reach the lost and minister to them, of which there are multitudes, and live in a city of high population density, and so I am thankful to be here despite the negatives

Here in the northern sector of the New Jersey Shore* we have maybe 3-4 inches on the ground and it is starting to slow down.

*If you look at the electoral map by county we are in the upper half of that little red dot on the coast.

They say 10-15'' here, but i think they over estimate this fast storm, Maybe 8'' around Boston.
