Donald Trump: ‘The Wall Is Getting Designed Right Now’

President Donald Trump said his proposed wall on the Southern border of the United States is currently in the design phase.

“The wall is getting designed right now,” he asserted on Wednesday during a speech to law enforcement officials at the Major Cities Chiefs Association Winter Conference in Washington D.C.

Trump acknowledged that some people said that he was “only kidding” on the campaign trail when he promised to build a wall that he repeatedly described as “big and beautiful.”

“I wasn’t kidding. I don’t kid. I don’t kid,” he said, describing the wall as a great tool to help reduce drugs and crime coming over the border.

Trump again compared his wall to the one that Israel has, pointing out that they are very effective if done properly.

Last month, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu signaled his support for the wall, calling it a “great idea.”

I have a design too. It involves landmines.

Don't forget a moat with all sorts of dangerous sea creatures.

Land mines are too messy. Most with large alligators leaves less to clean up. jk

Seismic sensors and robotic drilling rigs. Find the tunnel, drill, pump gasoline into hole, ignite.

There’s more miles of Mexican border with Arizona and Texas, asshole.

You haven't heard of the CalExit movement?

Isn’t the Pope’s entire country surrounded by a wall ? I haven’t heard him suggest the Vatican Wall is going to be torn down.

I’ve got a better idea: several dozen hydrogen bombs sunk and detonated simultaneously all along the San Andreas fault.
The part worth saving becomes ocean front, the lousy part slides into the sea.

Hmmm. 2000 miles? That’s a lot of claymore mines!

Good idea. The wall could be surveilled daily by dedicated personnel (not necessarily Border Patrol) in-vehicles so-equipped and deal immediately with any tunnels found. If they are occupied when the gasoline is set aflame, it will be a bonus.

Sad really, that the Pope had to trash Trump (essentially) for building what the Vatican has around it, a huge wall.

“I’m trying to figure out how best to prevent tunnels.”

We worked this problem in Korea’s DMZ, and the Israelis are working it hard today.

Seismic sensors can be emplaced that are good for detecting new tunneling activity. Ground penetrating radar is good for detecting existing tunnels.

Wealthy drug cartels will likely employ exceptional techniques, like extremely deep tunneling, but mass migration will be halted.

Old friend of mine was a Border Patrol agent. They used to have German Shepards which were highly effective. Janet Reno banned their use. Bring back the dogs.

Will it have to be redesigned to be higher if the Ninth Circus can’t read simple Engrish?

Might I suggest integrating apartment units into the wall, thus alleviating the housing shortage in California and employ the people who live in them as caretakers of the wall who can also act as spotters for the border patrol.
