Susan Springer has said she is pro-gay marriage and offers blessings to same-sex couples Another member of the clergy is outspoken about the need for gun control The church's Rev. Ted Howard also signed a letter slamming the 'disrespectful rhetoric' directed at Islam as Trump floated a ban on Muslim immigrants Church authorities also appear to be strongly in favor of environmental initiatives and added solar panels to the roof because of 'climate crisis' If Gorsuch is confirmed, he will renew the Supreme Court's Christian majority and join as the only non-Catholic member

Let’s think back. Some of us expressed reservations about Trump because he had no track record as a conservative. I was slammed here, and told this election was about over throwing “The Establishment” and not about ideology.

OK - I’ve warmed to Trump and voted for him. But let’s not be surprised if Trump surprises us with non conservative ideas and policies.

I would not attend a church like this, as there are plenty of Christian churches that stick with the Bible, and stay out of politics.

Do the Judge’s pastors support his nomination?

If you refute the edicts and reject the pronouncements of the Pope, you may be....Catholic.

So it’s looking like Trump basically picked David Souter to replace Scalia. If this is true, I’m back off the Trump Train.

There are MANY Catholic conservatives yet this Pope is a HUGE disappointment to ALL of us, the Catholic Church overall is ALL for social justice and OPEN BORDERS they are pro life but I am just saying none of these churches are perfect!!! I can’t hold his church against him!!!

Too late we are stuck with him.

Really? Does the name Harriet Miers mean anything to you? It may be time to start ramping up pressure to pull this pick. This is starting to look very bad.

The headmaster is a flaming (but closeted) homo in the vein of Charles Nelson Reilly, and I’m pretty sure the married rector is a homo too.

Dude, get your kid out of there. We had the same problem in the Catholic schools in the 1980s. I think you know what the result was...

WTF? How did this not get noticed before the selection?

This guy has been on Trump’s list for how many months? Almost a year? And now after he’s been the nominee for a couple of weeks people are just now learning about some of this.

He was universally praised as the most Scalia like just a couple of weeks ago. Maybe Trump was given a list of stealth judges by some of the usual think tanks and know-it-alls. Not very encouraging and the extent of such mistakes, if this is a mistake, is only realized over the years.

My Daughter home schools her kids. She is a certified teacher for both regular schools and Montessori so that helps.

They have a pretty decent support group including 4H, and several other organizations which lets them attend different things.

Why would one want to support such evil? What they are preaching and teaching is completely contrary to Scripture. I can only imagine what horrible things the children are taught.

Probably because they just made it up. Do not believe anything, even if it happens to be true, you hear from the MSM for the next four and probably 8 years.

From the article: "Gorsuch was brought up as a Catholic by his mother Ann, and attended an elite all boys Catholic school in Washington D.C. run by the Jesuit order."

This is not the pedigree of a conservative. I think we're in a lot of trouble here.

Very troubling. God does not approve of homosexual acts, so this church “leader” is wrong. Clearly, Gorsuch is sitting under heresy.

President Trump needs to find a better choice for our nation.

Yup. We homeschool as well. I attended 12 years of Catholic school and watched most of my classmates become apostates thanks to the horrible catechesis. And the number of homosexual teachers was somewhat ridiculous--with unsurprising results. I won't expose my kids to that.

And he graduated from Columbia? That can't be good. Haven't we been schooled (pardon the pun) to think Columbia = Leftist?

Whoa Nelly.

Judge Andrew S. Hanen, southern district of Texas would be a good nominee, IMO. But very tough to confirm right now.

Something about Gorsuch didn’t ring true when Trump rolled him out. My gut didn’t like him, but I didn’t speak up because everybody here was fawning over him.

Well, Gorsuch went fishing with Scalia, and there’s a photo! So what else matters? /s

If Gorsuch is a wolf in sheep’s clothing the Dems would want him while certainly putting up a fake snit of a head fake. Doesn’t jive with the RAT Senator backstabbing him with what was supposedly said about Trump.

A conservative would never belong to such a church.

Hey he sleeps through the bad parts, leave him alone, he is beginning to look presidential.
