John Podesta, the former campaign chairman of Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, said Wednesday that fake and misleading news stories are “undermining our democracy.”
“It’s sinister, and it’s a vile stream that runs under the ground and it begins to have an effect and takes its toll,” Podesta said at the NewCo Shift Forum, a conference dealing with present-day capitalism, according to Business Insider.
Podesta is likely referring to the potential danger of fraudulent news stories with a direct effect on real life.
“It’s undermining our democracy. I don’t know what technical fix I’m asking for, but I think the companies need to take it seriously,” Podesta continued, reports Business Insider.

So, viewers thought they were vote-smart because they’re informed by a comedian, yet same said comedian was doing Hillary’s bidding the whole time.

Yep. I can see how Podesta wants to rail against Fake News. Just as I can see how he hopes the MSM continues to see PizzaGate as Fake News.

Imagine what it must have been like before telephone and TV.
The only news you’d get would be delivered hard copy.
If you owned the newspaper you could write whatever you want and distribute it as the sole source of info into rural America.
We have the opposite problem now - too many sources - and the traditional ones are “shaping” the news as they’ve always done, but the internet is undermining their monopoly.
It’s interesting to think that we grew up in an unusual single time when broadcast media could shape news. It will never be like that again.
WikiLeaks had tens of thousands of John Podesta's emails. They expose the Brock connection, a corrupt press, Clintons' Foundation "charity" play for play, Clinton lucrative cronyism, DNC nastiness, the Clintons’ real thoughts on issues. (Btw, they found nothing that says "Russia calling".)

Podesta has been close to power for years, effortlessly getting numerous top level, high-powered govt jobs, and he even controls the media.
Podesta got rich trading on insider info, and is paid off for his powerful connections. Podesta received valuable stocks in a Russian- connected energy company.The Saudi Royal Court paid Podesta's PR Group $200,000 for a month-long project to provide “public relations services”. (verified to date).
People paying large sums of money expected payback if Hillary got elected. Powerful money interests could be directing Podesta to overturn the election to insure they get payback.

I have found where they staid / knew the pedo down the street and how that guy injected himself into the investigation...but nothing concrete on whether the Podesta bros were in Portugal at the time.
