Personally, I think the tweeting is below the office of the President. Tweeting is fine, but throwing a semi-tantrum is beneath him. He should give his phone to a staffer and tell them what to tweet and then the staffer cleans it up a little bit. (Wearing my fire suit.)

Your either the windshield or the bug.

The POTUS chooses not to be the bug.

I agree. While one of the reasons we like Trump, and he was elected, was his style of saying what’s on his mind - and bluntly sometimes. But - there is a reason it’s called “politics” - I think one needs to be shrewd and careful at times too and think about the ramifications a bit.

Hearing some news and tweeting about it 10 seconds later is probably not good for any professional person to do. (We have FR for that!)

I have no problem with Trump tweeting now and then when he wants to cut through the clutter of disinformation out there and communicate directly with the people on matters of substance. It infuriates the press which is a good thing.

But his constant tweeting and opining in response to myriad things that his opponents say makes him look hyper defensive and he runs the risk of overexposure. I wish he would dial it back just a little bit.

Whatever stop getting all wobbly ..clearly you don’t have the stomach to do what it takes to take on the establishment. He should be polite and gentlemanly with these people? It doesn’t matter if he stopped tweeting, they will be just as vicious. Why should a judge who clearly went against the law in the Constitution be revered as some deity? Y’all don’t make sense on here when you get all squeamish about his Tweets. The game is different now there’s no nice way dealing with these people have you seen what they’re doing in the streets and how they’re behaving? That’s who this judge was taken up for . I’m sorry I can’t even understand people like you who get scared when Trump goes on the attack using Twitter.

Yep. Besides, it’s counterproductive.

I agree. In this twitter situation, our President should not be making snarky comments about the Judges deciding his EO. Not smart to demean a set of Judges deciding the fate of your EO.

Would a lawyer waiting on a Judge to decide his court case really go out in public and call that Judge snarky names to the media and then expect a favorable ruling? NO.

I have mixed thinking about this. I don’t have a problem with tweeting directly to the people, but as a person that was successful in the business world by not Always being politically correct I understand where he comes from, and I think Bush lost a lot by being too politically correct. On the other hand, what I learned in life is that there are other ways to win, especially when the law is on your side.
