Trump gets blamed if a toilet seat in the West Wing is found in the up position...we’re used to that. But the problem the media has is that Trump is against the mass importation of these types, and Dems/Media are not...that’s all people will see. The details of an attack will only be of concern to political junkies - to the masses, and especially Working Classes, all that matters is that Trump wanted to keep the country safe...and he was prevented from doing so.
I still remember the 1980 election - Carter’s plans for increasing the military (whether he meant it or not) called for significantly LARGER increases than Reagan - yet it wasn’t even close as to who was trusted to make the country strong. That’s what the Dems face after the next attack. (and Carter even said something to the effect “not that anyone seems to care, but my military buildup even exceeds Reagan)
Due to a late Monday night filing of an amicus curie brief filed by Jones Day law firm, the DOJ lost the lawyers who were supposed to defend it (former Jones Day lawyers) because they were “conflicted out” due to having worked for Jones Day.
It’s an old trick used to deprive a party of effective counsel.
