Nothing in the article for which you sent me the link indicated anything other than the normal course of business that has been going on in that region since the end of World War II and, particularly, since the end of the Cold War.

Russia, then the Soviet Union, then Russia again have always had a large force structure oriented on the Baltic region. That article did not, nor did any other article that I could find in a web search, indicate any sort of increased threat in general and definitely not one that was poised against Sweden. And the fact that there was an ongoing conflict in Ukraine and the Crimea has no bearing on Sweden suddenly getting paranoid.

It's almost as if the Swedish government is trying to take the focus off their internal problems with Islam by waving the bloody flag ...
