Datum: Sweden is mobilizing and drilling its police forces.
Note: The Russians are easily blamed and domestic Muslim criminality is impossible even to speak about. Could be the Swedes have something else in mind. Call me cynical.
Nations often have more than one threat. One threat doesn’t mean there are no others. Yes, Sweden has screwed up and ignored the threat from immigrant Muslims who won’t assimilate. Why, though, does that mean Putin should threaten them?
It doesn't "mean" any such thing. I'm suggesting that the Russia story may be a politically acceptable smoke screen for an activity that is politically dangerous.
Swedes in Sweden don’t think so. And the Putin problem is impacting many nations. They’re not in denial. I agree they shouldn’t ignore Islamists and others who are a problem, but nations often have more than one threat and having one doesn’t cancel out the second or even third.
I wish that I could draw political cartoons - if I could, this one would show the jihad bunch rushing into Sweden from the left while Sweden pulls out its ferocious cavalry to defend from the fully mechanized Russians on the right.
