NEW HAVEN, Conn. - State Police arrested a 66-year-old protester who is being accused of blocking an ambulance carrying a critically-ill patient during a demonstration.

With the increase of demonstrations happening throughout the country, Connecticut State Police are reminding people that protests blocking any highway or roadway is a crime, can be dangerous and will not be tolerated.

Protesters opposing President Donald Trump's immigration policies, blocked the Exit 47 ramp from Route 34 westbound to Interstate 95 north at about 4:25 p.m. Saturday. Troopers responded and attempted to clear between 100 and 200 protesters who were blocking the roadway, police said.

Hopefully with its fangs sank deep in the protester’s throat.

I’m 68, Vietnam vet and wouldn’t mind massaging his head with a crowbar.

A nice sentiment but then the left becomes the victims.

Completely agree.

My hippie remark was to the comment that he should have "known better".

His mind is fried with either:
1. drugs, or
2. leftist/communist dogma.

Regardless of whether he should have known better or not - he should have been run down.

That is o.k. I thought that I was the only one who had those moments. I am learning.

The guy arrested clams to be a native american. A few years back, some little snowflake recent high school graduate decided that our town’s high school mascot, an Indian, was an insult to native americans and should be changed. Got the town to hold a meeting on it where one of the little snowflake’s fellow classmates presented a much larger counter-petition to leave the mascot alone.

This guy, Norman Clements, showed up at the town meeting, even though he doesn’t live in the town, and made a big stink. But we still are the Indians. LOL

Another new story about the protest - this one is funny because of the whine being served up by the protestors who are claiming they were abused by the police.

I usually get off the highway to go to work right at this exit. Now, it's not just snow, but idiot protestors I have to check for before I leave the house.

""Clement ran from law enforcement personnel through the crowd, knocking over several of his supporters, before being apprehended. Clement actively resisted arrest and was sprayed with (pepper spray)," police said."

Dementia? These protestors --- of all ages --- are already far gone.

So, if this won’t be tolerated, when do the cops break out the clubs and start cracking skulls? Do whatever it takes to remove these thugs from the road! Anything else is just talk.

Yeah, but, at least, your Connecticut police arrested somebody for this behavior. In some places, the cops are doing nothing.

I know exactly where this happened. My wife had an operation there last summer. New Haven, unfortunately, is mostly a rathole. Along with Bridgeport and much of Hartford. Run by your typical big-city liberals and infrastructure falling to pieces with crime and overall urban decay on the rise. If not for those three areas, we’d have had a Republican governor elected a couple years back and Malloy would have been defeated.

Exactly right, Sam.

I'm assuming your wife may have had surgery at Yale-New Haven Hospital? I've had four surgeries there since 2008; the most recent being mid-November 2016 (that one was actually at St. Raphael's, but still part of Y-NH). Yale-New Haven is an excellent hospital, with some of the most amazing doctors I've ever encountered. (And I've had a fair amount of experience with the major hospitals in Hartford)

Too bad such a fine hospital is located in a sanctuary city hellhole like New Haven, though...

Good point. The cops in Berkeley, CA come to mind...

What the heck is a 66 year old doing out in the middle of a road way, don't they know they can get run over...dementia setting in???

Perhaps these "protests" may peter out when it starts to dawn on the participants that they can get hurt...or worse (click on the link)

(I think more and more people are getting tired of these idiots)

Yes, that’s the same hospital and I agree on the doctors/surgeons. That’s the reason we choose to go there even though we are much closer to Danbury.
