The way people watch sports is changing with streaming.

I rarely watch games on my TV anymore, I just stream to my laptop, and usually just listen to game until something interesting happens.

Yeah who likes last possession single score games, boring . Meanwhile nobody quit, the Falcons just ran out of gas. The first half wasn't nearly as lopsided as the scoreboard said, the Pats held the ball for 20 minutes, they got a total of 93 plays on offense (about a game and a half). While the Falcon's D wouldn't let the Pats score they also couldn't get off the field, that has inevitable results.

The key was Brady getting more time to throw. The Falcons couldn’t cover the Patriots’ receivers, they got called for defensive holding three times on one drive alone. By the fourth quarter, the Falcons’ pass rushers were gassed, and Brady made them pay.

I think it goes way beyond the U.S. flag story this year.

I've been surprised at how little talk I've heard about the Super Bowl here in the New York City region even on sports talk radio shows where they'd usually be all over it.

I suspect demographics has become a big issue for the NFL. There simply aren't enough younger fans to replace the ones who have been slowly aging and disappearing since the 1980s and 1990s.

I agree. The Falcons' defense was on the field WAY too long and they were "running on fumes" at the end of regulation--they couldn't even attempt a sack at that point.

Doesn’t seem to be changing that much. Down less than 1 full share from the highest rated game ever. And of course the most convenient ways to stream still come from the networks anyway so they don’t really care outside the numbers being a little harder to pick up for now.

People act like it was a new song when in fact it’s an OLD song! We sang it as children so it’s older than I am. She did change one phrase of it though. She disincluded “From California to the NY Island” and sang something else, I don’t recall what, and certainly don’t know why.

I was absolutely disgusted with the game that first half- 3/4. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing from the Patriots. They looked like a bunch of bumbling Junior highschoolers.I was reminded of a Superbowl game between Patriots and Dolphins back in the 80’s. Remember Refrigerator Perry? What a horrid and embarrassing game that was! (squish the fish).

I even texted my daugter to ask her if she thought they were throwing the game, she agreed it looked like they were.

Then all of a sudden they pulled their craniums from their rectums and began to play ball!

There are just some political things I refuse to give attention to because all it does is feed the trolls. Reprinting their nasty articles gives attention they don’t deserve and ups their viewership. But, if I want to watch a game I’m going to watch the game because I refuse to politicise it.

So, to heck with the commercials. None of what I saw was entertaining in the least, failed to grasp my initial attention AND there were way too many of them. About every 4 min of game play was interrupted by dull and lengthy commercials while the half time show was not. I felt like Half the game was stolen from my enjoyment, and I resent the commercials for that.

A 2 minute commercial every 15 min would have been reasonable.

In any event, it was a memorable game, I’m glad I saw it. I have OTA tv and it seems to me that OTA tv is harder to account for when counting viewers.

For those of you with old fashioned CRT televisions, get a digital converter box and a rabbit ears antenna at the very least. I have a ‘dumb’ flat screen...not a smart one...ie not internet ready. But it has the digital converter built in so you have to go into your set up and initiate antenna settings to scan for channels after hooking up an antenna.

Lots of people don’t realize that. My neighbor who isn’t tech savy was just given a digital converter box for her TV. They hooked up an antenna and her tv viewing world opened up for her! She’s thrilled!

Sometimes you can pick up digital converter boxes cheaply at pawn shops. No need to lay out $50 thereabouts if you’re cash strapped.

Yup. Chris Wallace interviewed Pat’s owner Kraft about it, and Kraft admitted the nfl has a millenial problem. Doesn’t sound like they have figured out a solution yet.

Those dainty millenials have been Pavloved into hating manliness, which the NFL embodies (or used to embody) like nothing else.

I think the nfl’s assent to including the gender-ambigous pop-cult halftime shows and the lefty tv spots are a lame effort to luring in the dainty millenials, but so far, it’s been a fail.

I would assume that the Ratings dropped at Half Time after it looked like a rout.

While Lady Gaga’s Half Time Show was a diversion, the Russians peed in the Falcon’s Gatorade.

Remember, it isn’t over until Podesta the Molesta comes on Stage and tells everyone to go home.

Yep, that was the biggest place the fatigue could be seen, by the 4th quarter the rushers were a solid step slower, by the end it was 2 or 3 steps. And it all starts in the beginning, they let the Pats have drives of 9, 12 and 11 plays (plus a handful of shorter ones); sure they only got 3 points on them, but that’s time on the field and collisions, 44 first half plays is a LOT. By the time you get the Pats 13 play TD drive in the 3rd Atlanta’s defense had already been on the field for a whole game and there were still 20 minutes in regulation.

You can than Roger Goodell and his Globalist agenda to politicize the NFL.

Goodell let Crapernick protest the American flag all season long, but would not let NFL players wear 9/11 tribute cleats 1 weekend.

I loved it that Goodell got booed hard core after the game.

If I had been watching the game, I would have did what Trump did, which was to tune out and leave the party at the end of the 1st half.

Podesta and Hillary must have been sad to watch the pro-Trump Pats pulling off the win. Too much deja via for them. :)

And they are well aware of why. It was obvious by the way they kept Gaga in relative check and by their feeble attempt at the end to do the "within these borders" ploy with the outline of the USA.

They either become more tolerant of patriotism and what is right, eschewing politics and being PC or they will continue to crumble.

Brady's amazing comeback might be looked upon as prophetic - and an example of how being like Trump, and defying all odds, inspires and facilitates greatness.

I watched it yesterday also. My first of the year as well. I dropped the NFL due to the BLM crap and coaching staff not having the guts to tell their players that it’s not acceptable and owners doing the same.

I was vetoed by my wife and kids last night however and fully expected a GAGA tirade. I was pleasantly surprised and although I don’t know the music was entertained. Hopefully her performance will set precedence for future performers to stick to their craft and avoid agenda promotion.

The Falcons started laying back middle of second quarter in my opinion. Patriots earned the win.

It’s the same problem baseball has. Millennials just aren’t into traditional sports. If you go to a typical kids’ bedroom these days, it most likely they’ll have a poster of Lionel Messi than of any football or baseball player.

The cultural marxists seem to know what they are doing.

It’s almost time to do a ctrl-alt-delete on the millenials. The post-2000 generation (gen z?) shows signs of rejecting millenial daintiness. The sports leagues may need to invest in them instead.
