Kremlin says it wants apology from Fox News over Putin comments
Reuters ^ | 02/06/17

Posted on 02/06/2017 5:55:19 AM PST by Enlightened1

The Kremlin said on Monday it wanted an apology from Fox News over what it said were "unacceptable" comments one of the channel's presenters made about Russian President Vladimir Putin in an interview with U.S. counterpart Donald Trump.

Fox News host Bill O'Reilly described Putin as "a killer" in the interview with Trump as he tried to press the U.S. president to explain more fully why he respected his Russian counterpart. O'Reilly did not say who he thought Putin had killed.

"We consider such words from the Fox TV company to be unacceptable and insulting, and honestly speaking, we would prefer to get an apology from such a respected TV company," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on a conference call.

Fox News and O'Reilly did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.

Trump's views on Putin are closely scrutinized in the United States where U.S. intelligence agencies have accused Moscow of having sponsored computer hacking to help Trump win office, and critics say he is too complimentary about the Russian leader.

Trump, when commenting on the allegations against Putin in the same interview, questioned how "innocent" the United States itself was, saying it had made a lot of its own mistakes. That irritated some Congressional Republicans who said there was no comparison between how Russian and U.S. politicians behaved.

Well, there you have it. A nice, solid argument. Since Putin is a KILLER, who has our entire "store" we most definitely should push a war with Russia, the other major nuclear power on earth. Good idea.

Again, your thinking fails you. The point I thought was obvious enough, was that Hillary and Co could not possibly have been serious with their (supposed) aggressive stanch towards Russia. That is, unless they wanted to set the US military up in a conflict. In other words, working in cahoots with Putin. Putin, the guy who is in the process of basically restoring the Soviet Union, and then-some if they succeed in their quest to grab control of key parts of the oil/gas-rich Middle East.

This was a plan, that began prior to the Iraq invasion - to take down the regimes of 5 additional countries - most of which were friendly with the old Soviet Union.

It’s possible that was due to cold-war era type geopolitical thinking. It also apparently coincides with the NWO agenda that divides the world into 10 regions. The countries on Obama’s list coincide with a number of maps that exist of this area.

Russia, USA, and China do this sort of stuff all the time. Each one “sells” the narrative to their people based on what the population will believe and support.

Any thinking person knew he was an unsavory dictator of the worst sort. That said, after Saddam was taken down, he saw the light, handed over his WMD program to the USA, and was very low profile.

And while he may have been an unsavory dictator of the worst sort, Islamic theocratic anarchy of the sort Libya has seen since, is worse.

And there we have HRC, effusively proud of enabling that murder and that Islamic theocratic anarchy.

Here's something else to consider when discussing Russia (the two excerpts below)...

They've also been conducting annual joint war games with the ChiComs since 2005 in obvious preparation for war with us and our allies. Doesn't sound to me like they're so "anti-communist" these days, as they claim, and as so many mindless know-nothing dopes even here on FR believe. And can't forget their close military ties to communist North Korea.

How Russia arms America's southern neighbors

Ioan Grillo
May 9, 2014

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil -- Russia's push into Ukraine has put many on edge. But less known is that Russia is also strengthening its military links south of the Rio Grande and re-establishing itself as a power in the region.

Vladimir Putin has been strengthening military links here, and Russia is now the largest arms dealer to governments in Latin America, surpassing the United States.

Russia has even floated the possibility of building new military bases in Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, and putting its warships permanently in the Caribbean.

In the midst of the Ukraine crisis, Russia's top diplomat Sergei Lavrov recently visited Cuba, Peru, Chile, and Nicaragua, where he announced that Russia would also pour money into the new Central American canal project. ..."

Russia Boosts Arms, Training for Leftist Latin Militaries

Moscow defense minister inks deals with Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua for joint exercises

BY: Bill Gertz
February 20, 2015

Russia agreed to provide military training for three leftist regimes in Latin America and increase military visits and exercises following a visit last week to the region by Moscow's Defense Minister Sergei Shoygu, Pentagon officials said.

Shoygu met with defense and military leaders in Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua and signed several agreements on warship visits and military training during the visit, which ran from Feb. 11 to 14. It is not clear whether any new arms deals were completed during the visit.

Defense officials said the Russian leader is seeking bases in the region for strategic bomber flights that Shoygu recently promised would include flights over the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean.

The whole democratic party has called Putin a liar and a thief without evidence, while it was documented he marched into the Ukraine for political purposes killing people there and he is upset with Fox and O’Riley? He didn’t try to hide those attacks. Give me a break.

Chuckling. Would love to see that blowhard apologize to Putin. Putin may already have a Russian ghostwriter penning “Killing Bill O’Reilly.” A little polonium in a falafel....

I have such a low tolerance for B O’Reilly that I’d give away all military secrets after having to watch him for 2 hours. I’d beg to be waterboarded instead. If I swallowed poison and needed to vomit I’d think of him masturbating with his falafel while on a call to his secretary (the one who sued him).

More importantly, what the US has done and what Russia has done, and continues to do, cannot be equated.

When the Left did this, we conservatives pushed back. I don’t get the fact that the Howard Zinn view of the USA is now popular even on FREEREPUBLIC!

Yet, as illustrated in my post 105 above, Russia STILL backs every communist dictatorship on earth, from the ChiComs and communist North Korea to the hostile Marxist regimes in Latin America. And probably elsewhere in the world, too, such asin Africa? I don’t really know. Never looked into it.

Thanks for posting this reality. I was about to post it!

Patently false; the United States was allied with Russia in both World War One and World War Two, and has never declared war against Russia.

Spoken like the true Putin butt sucker that you are. One of the rare few times BR is good on something and you attack him for it. Why don't you pack up and move to Russia if you're so crazy about Putin.
