Water cannons and fire hoses. Non-lethal and effective in stopping the mayhem. Then sweep and arrest the masked perps.
Once the property damage and assaults begin, it is no longer a demonstration - it’s a riot and subject to riot control measures.
This tactic will be mimicked by muslim terrorists doing a terrorist act here in the U.S.A. After all, if the University authorities and town mayor are holding back the police from taking action against these armed individuals causing mayhem, it creates an opening for a group of terrorists to infiltrate a protest and then begin a mass kill. Do nothing, and it will happen. Time to take down all protesters forcibly and stop this nonsense.
To prove their tolerance, don't you know.
Yes, they did. And that was just a sit-in and they all went to jail.
If a person with a masked face walks into a bank or any place of business carrying a club or backpack it’s reasonable to arrest them or take action to subdue them.
Isn’t it time we apply the same protections to public spaces and city streets?

Congress should enact legislation making it a crime for anyone to wear a mask or any other covering concealing their face in any public place, excluding certain exceptions such as live theater performances, street entertainment, Halloween activities, and the like.
Let’s see what the 2018 budget says. I hope it’s half that or less. I would go scorched earth on these liberal ass hats.
What we are witnessing by these people are among the opening shots in the coming Social War. Get ready.

I think sooner or later these anarchists are going to be looking at the business end of a lot of guns, because loyal American citizens are going to take only so much of their belligerence, and then all hell is going to break loose.
They’ll escalate to firearms when they have enough popular support from folks like Democrat city politicians. Notices that they rampaged with virtually no opposition from Bezerkley police.
Ruger 10/22 with a can and a couple drums.
Only the mayor or chief of police has that kind of authority. I believe it was the mayor.
Even better would be ZERO of that or less.
They were ordered not to do anything.
Zero may be correct but there mat be some valuable research or STEM funding going on. I know that’s probably overly optimistic but benefit of the doubt given.
It’s amazing how quiet subsonic 22LR ammunition is even when fired from an unsuppressed 22 rifle. I recently had the chance to do some side-by-side tests with 22LR supersonic and subsonic ammo, with and without a suppressor, and .223 supersonic, with and without a suppressor.
The subsonic 22LR ammo was Aguila 60 grain SSS (sniper sub-sonic). These require a fast-twist barrel to stabilize them. The Ruger 10-22 rifle we were shooting had an aftermarket fast-twist barrel with a threaded muzzle, so it was tested with and without a quality name-brand (legal) suppressor. These 60 grain Aguilas are unusual rounds with a small brass case and a long exposed lead projectile. They didn’t feed reliably from a non-Ruger aftermarket 25 round magazine, but they fed reliably from a Ruger 10-round standard rotary magazine.
We didn’t have any sound equipment, the results are just based on our impressions with and without ear protection.
.223 supersonic with a suppressor is still loud, but the sound is sonic crack, not muzzle blast. However, the passing shock wave doesn’t point to the shooter, and will commonly mislead ear-witnesses concerning the location of the shooter. Urban echoes can increase this confusion even more. Still, .223 supersonic fired through a quality .223 suppressor will still be heard by everybody, no doubt about it.
22LR supersonic fired through a suppressor still has a loud sonic crack, similar to the suppressed .223. Because of the much shorter effective range of 22LR, this is a limiting factor, because the search radius for the shooter will be so compact.
22LR subsonic fired through a suppressor is totally silent, the loudest sound is the action cycling. The only sound, really. You could fire it in a library. It’s that quiet.
But the really big surprise of the day was how quiet 22LR subsonic is when fired from an 18” barrel with no suppressor at all. Like a good handclap. My conclusion is that most of the typical noise from a standard-velocity 22LR fired from a rifle is actually the sonic crack, not the muzzle blast. Remove the sonic crack, and you remove most of the noise.
The same subsonic 22LR ammunition fired from a pistol is a lot louder. My conclusion is that the 18” rifle barrel dissipates a lot of the gas pressure, and reduces the muzzle blast to tolerable levels. Take away the sonic crack, and it’s remarkably quiet. A bolt-action 22LR with a barrel longer than 20” should be even quieter.
The downside to using the 60 grain 22LR SSS from a standard-twist barrel is that they will not spin-stabilize, so they will keyhole and are very inaccurate. But fired from a fast-twist barrel, they are easily ”minute of man” at 200 yards with the appropriate holdover.
We didn’t have any 40 grain subsonic “match” ammo to test, but they will stabilize from a standard slow-twist factory barrel. I’d recommend trying 40 grain subsonic 22LR from an unsuppressed rifle. The kinetic effect down range won’t be as great as the 60 grain SSS, but no suppressor or aftermarket fast twist barrel would be required. No suppressor, no tax stamp, no nothing. Just quiet shooting.
We are fast approaching the time when we will face a civil war - or secessions. I cannot understand why we do not vote to sever Fornicalia from the Union! If you don't believe in the Constitution then out you go!
I used that exact set-up to take out a skunk that had taken up residence in my back yard. Even in a suburban neighborhood, no-one was the wiser. It sounds like a pellet gun.
Lord do I hope you are correct in your assessment. The political factions in our country are coming to a fight.
I have uses .22 subsonic rounds to great effect clearing unwanted critters in the back yard that faced vacant land. Low sound, and never disturbed my neighbors.
Pretty decent case to be made for breach of contract there.
I am always on the lookout for "quieter" technologies to support my passion, ever since the onset of tinnitus 12 years ago. I have some hearing loss in the 4000-6000Hz range due to some [limited] gun shot exposure. The reorganization of my oto-neurology when I turned 50 resulted in the tinnitus percept -- a permanent perception of sound when none exist. Not fun. Subsequently I have moved on to blackpowder, which is still damaging to unprotected ears, but not have the same intensity impulse as an AR15 or ported FAL (>165dB). I can't caution shooters enough to use adequate hearing protection which attenuates the impulse by approximate 40dB when using quality muffs. It's a function of intensity and amount of exposure. But anything in excess of 130dB is instantly and permanently damaging. Back to the topic.
A web search turned up one supplier: E. Arthur Brown Company Ruger 10/22 Accessories.
The threaded subsonic 10/22 barrels have the rate of twist (1-in-9") needed for the 60gr Aquila SSS:
Our EABCO Threaded 10/22 Accuracy Barrels® have threaded muzzles to fit the Tactical Solutions 10/22 Muzzle Brake. Custom thread protectors are included, order muzzle brakes separately. This "Fast Twist Subsonic" barrel features a 1:9 rifling twist to stabilize slower, subsonic .22 ammo such as: Aguila 60gr SSS Super Sniper, CCI Green Tag, Wolf Match Extra, RWS Target, etc.
I'll need to inlet the barrel channel to accomodate the thicker profile barrel.
