Whatever adjectives can be used to describe our new President, diplomatic is not one which springs readily to mind. His phone conversation with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull merely serves to reinforce a reputation for bluntness that was already solidified within the public imagination. In this case, however, I think his impolitic speech is actually beneficial for American citizens.
For the refugee resettlement swap cooked up by his predecessor, which involves the exchange of non-Muslim Central American refugees for Muslim boat people currently being detained at the behest of the Australian government, is another disastrous scheme to further erase our borders.
The ordinary refugee resettlement process is almost completely insulated from the democratic process. Seemingly benefiting everyone from United Nations functionaries, to bureaucrats in the federal government, but especially VOLAGs whose survival depends upon a constant stream of clients, refugee resettlement takes no account of the feelings of ordinary American citizens. The people whose lives could be ruined by the decisions made hundreds, if not thousands, of miles away by unelected officials...

Trump pulled a sting busting the CIA for leaking the meeting he had with them last November. I have no doubt he will do the same to uncover the traitors in his midst.
bkmk
Clown Dunce nobama (who ever he really is) was no friend of the United States. His “deals” are many and were made to weaken this country. So, if President Trump steps on a few toes in trying to right these wrongs, who cares? I hope all of the Clown Dunce’s acts are reversed...all of them. The malignant traitor’s future should be in a dank, dark prison cell for his many, many crimes.
“So, if President Trump steps on a few toes in trying to right these wrongs, who cares?”
Well, I sure do like the fact that he “stepped on Turnbull’s d1ck!”
Bet those folks from Guatemala don't realize that.
I’m all in favour of an island refugee camp where people can be held until they are properly vetted. I suggest Greenland.
Why don’t we sent these people back where they are from and make that our policy.
Why are bring Muslim foreigners located in a foreign country to the USA.
this is nuts .
send hem back to Somali and Iraqi and Iran and tell the world we are full.

IMHO, the “refugees” could be offered homesteads in Alaska. Like many of our ancestors, they would learn the values of self-sufficiency and hard work.
Or diversify the diet of the gizzleys...
Only some of them - those who attempt to come here by boat without visas. Those who arrive by air (who virtually always do have some sort of entry visa or they wouldn't have been allowed on the plane) or by sea with a visa (very rare but it could happen) are either placed into detention centres in Australia pending processing, or may be allowed into the community on a case by case basis on the visa they have, if they are considered unlikely to be a threat and unlikely to escape. Others have already had their refugee status and permission to reside in Australia deal with why they were overseas and will be released straight into the community.
Bet those folks from Guatemala don't realize that.
Those people will undergo vetting in Guatemala, and will only be allowed into Australia after it's been decided they are suitable to be allowed in. They won't face detention in Australia.
Australia's refugee policy is generous to those genuine refugees who follow the rules in coming here, and who are assessed as unlikely to be a threat. It's very stringent in other cases.
People who attempt to avoid refugee vetting by taking an illegal entry vessel to the mainland are detained in offshore camps on the understanding they will never ever enter Australia.
