Trump has 3 years...in year 4 it will be like scalia. You then have to wait for next election ..unless we keep numbers that allow a vote...imagine the wailing in year 4

I sure hope that a justice, esp a liberal one, doesn't retire/pass away during the last year of Trump's term cause that would energize libs (more) in turning out...look at how Scalia's death turned out to benefit Trump greatly, I forget the exact % but a substantial amount of voters came out for him because of the Supreme Court's balance at stake.

Notice how Hillary and Obama didn't make a fuss about it to excite their voters over a liberal-majority court...sure it could be that dems just knew she was a shoo-in so why panic GOP voters unecessarily...but could (also) be that they knew it would galvanize conservatives so best to keep quiet about it.
