President Trump reportedly had a fiery conversation over the weekend with Australias prime minister over a refugee deal agreed upon under the Obama administration.
Trump reportedly blasted the agreement as the worst deal ever and accused Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull of seeking to export the next Boston bombers.
The call went so badly, Trump told Turnbull that he had spoken to Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto and Russias Vladimir Putin and their call was his worst so far.

Here is an interesting interview with more context, including the bigger picture of China pressuring Australia, partly with political dollars, and Australia having pulled back on the US otherwise a few months ago:
If this story is, in fact, true then the real story is who among Trump’s staff is leaking the details of these private conversations with foreign leaders?
Trump should resettle all of them in San Francisco. Eminent domain some homes or business buildings there to house them.
In the first place it isn't thousands, it's 1250. Second, this should not be a surprise for the Administration since Obama negotiated it a while ago and the State Department should have covered it in their turnover.
But in any case, take the 1250 refugees and stick them in Gitmo. Problem solved.
these refugees are not on our soil .
they are not our problem.
Australia can solve it by sending them back home.
why is the us involved at all.
We agreed to take them.
It’s very obvious that Trump leaked this himself.
Soooo, Trump tweets at 9:55 pm last night about Obama’s “dumb deal” with Australia, and the next morning the tired old meme of “Trump is impulsive” is now on Day 2 of a new twist, “Trump is threatening foreign leaders.” First Mexico, now Australia.
At this rate, by tomorrow the AP and others in the Opposition Party will be saying Trump is sending troops to invade Cuba again.
May be legalese...aka political spin. He effectively hung up but did it with some courtesy. Effectively Indicating he doesnt like the deal...wants extreme vetting..and he is in the power position ..not any other leader in the world..so all of you all just deal with it...kind if thing
And then john miller leaked it for a number of reasons..including that he knows his base doesnt want those immigrants
It is a mistake for people here to think everything is fake news. They need to remember the john miller story..and that trump is the worlds greatest troll. See that video on youtube if you dont understand
Isn’t Australia acting more as a holding/distribution center rather than actually harboring refugees?
The first I saw this report was in an unsourced article in the compost. It definitely reeked of trail patties. I don't know who broke it, but I have not seen a credible source.
It is only going to help his case against the media to be able to call them out with the support of foreign leaders.
Mexico, U.S. both say Associated Press misreported Trump-Nieto phone call

Why do you assume it’s from Trump’s staff? It could just as easily have come from the Australian side.
The leaker could have come from the Australian side and posed to make it look like it came from Trump. NSA could have been listening in as well.
Not only did he apparently troll the media years ago by making calls as his own PR guy ("John Miller"), but there's a good chance that when the story first made waves during the 2016 campaign it was Trump himself who released the audiotape of one of the calls.
Megyn Kelly interviews Sue Carswell
The part of this clip that begins around the 4:20 mark made me a real Donald Trump fan. You know it's a classic when you have other people in the studio cracking up as the interview goes on. LMAO.
The Herald sun has a good article on this Interviewing several people.
It is clear something happened. As the article says.. we hired him to basically blow everything up and put US first...so australia needs to understand that and realize he is not a politician..using the typical protocol.
