Two years is optimistic. Many legal hurdles—eminent domain, watering rights of land owners, etc. will slow things down. Like the Great Wall of China, there will need to be barracks built and strung along the way and good roads to rush where needed at a moment’s notice, also necessary vehicles to transport border agents.

EVERY sovereign country has control over their BORDERS. There really isn’t much to argue over. The safety of the USA & the actual creating of a BORDER which cannot be breached will beat down any objections that arise. Ranchers are tired of the lack of safety, They won’t argue. If watering stock is a problem, digging a well for those landowners is cheap by comparison to paying out all the benefits for the invaders.
