Did anyone listen to the Senate Foreign relations committee this AM? All of the dems were offensive. Senator Franken, however, was beyond the pale. The character assassination of Sessions and Cruz was like nothing I've heard before. So much so that even 'pubs on the committee were objecting because Cruz wasn't there to respond.

I don't know how the dems walk this back. They're petulant little emotional children who've don't understand that sometimes you can't undo the damage you've done. They lost, get over it, it's their own damn fault for not removing hillary when it was established that she had debate questions ahead of time. (yeah, people noticed things like that)

Perhaps there's a silver lining. The 'pubs in DC better start understanding that they stand in unison with President Trump or we descend into anarchy.

I'm seriously that worried. People who never learned that actions have consequences seem to think they can get their way, then undo the damage. They can't.

Importantly, this message is only to McConnell indirectly. It is directly to conservatives, who are all in favor of it, to connect with their senators, who *should* be in favor of it, and *they* will connect with McConnell.

It’s not really “political pressure” to do it this way, but to let them all know that it is “the will of the people”.

And it is also a message to the Democrats. If the Republican senators can keep it together and go nuclear if they have to, then the Democrats are effectively shut out of power in the senate until the next elections, where they are already deeply in trouble.

11 Democrat senators in particular are in red states. If President Trump and the RNC decide to send in big money to defeat them, they will have to spend 2 or 3 times as much to save themselves.
