Senate Democrats on Tuesday refused to attend a committee vote on two of President Trump’s more controversial nominees, effectively delaying their consideration.

Democrats on the Senate Finance Committee boycotted votes to advance Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.), Trump’s pick to head the Department of Health and Human Services, and Steven Mnuchin, his selection to head the Treasury Department. The pair had been among some of the more contentious selections to join Trump’s Cabinet.

McConnell...call Trump, advise him you will adjourn the senate at a prescribed time, for one hour, and he can do them all with recess appointments.

Leave the positions open and appoint them as consultants with 8 year contracts. If he wants, he can call them czars.

It looks like a rebellion.
It's one of the reasons Obama dumped so many military officers.
It's also why Obama has chosen to live in DC.

exactly. How in the world does this “effectively delay” anything. Only because Republicans think it’s fair that everyone be there. Screw that, you’re not getting any credit for doing that and quite frankly no one cares. Just do the vote and ram everyone through along party lines. You have a majority, act like it

Things are going to get worse. We actually thought there could be a peaceful transition. Silly us. We worried about Obama declaring martial. Trump may have to do it so he can lock this National real enemies. Including those in the media. And I’m not joking.

The RATS did the same thing, trying to deny a quorum, when civil rights bills were being considered in the 60s.

No, that would require courage. Something Mitch does not have. We should start a “days since the last bill was passed” counter. These guys get paid for nothing!

They did the same thing in Wisconsin to Scott Walker. He showed what they could do with their temper tantrums.

Hold the hearing.

Order the Sergeant at Arms to grab the Senators and bring them into the room. Tape them to their chairs and their mouths shut if necessary.

Or Trump can keep firing and hiring his people in the key positions without these losers.

We also need a

TEN PERCENT ACROSS THE BOARD CUT in federal agencies.

Declare emergency due to the 20 TRILLION in debt.

That’s the ideal way to purge the fed gov’t of anti-Trumpers.

Do what Obama did with the Inspector Generals. Just appoint interim IG’s who do not require senate approval and keep the office vacant.

An interim IG for the state Dept for 5 yrs is what allowed Hillary to get away with her emails and lose all that $$$$$

One key rule for dealing with idiots, don't argue with them in the one odd case in which they turn out to be right.

In the case of Mnuchin, there are too many question marks and at least two or three of them are to big, the guy should not be confirmed.
