Donald Trump signed an executive order banning refugees into the US for 120 days.
Some 57 per cent of US likely voters favour the temporary ban on refugees “until the federal government approves its ability to screen out potential terrorists from coming here”, a phone and online survey by polling company Rasmussen Reports found.
The polling company says 33 per cent are opposed to the ban with 10 per cent undecided.

It could be a real win-win. We take a time out to vet refugees from terrorist hot spots. Fine. Only one potential glitch. There is no way to vet people from terrorist hot spots.
It’s not like there are fully functioning governments with record keeping bureaucracies. Good luck emailing the County Clerk’s office in downtown Mogadishu.

What we are seeing at airports and cities is hysteria - pure and simple. They’ll be doing psychology PhDs on this in the future.
Where were these protestors when Putin walked in to Crimea and Ukraine? Where were they when hundreds were being killed in Allepo? I don’t remember mass protests against these arguably greater global events.
Where were they when Obama was kicking out the Cuban and Iraqi refugees? Nowhere.
It is a classic case of mass hysteria whipped up by Trump hating media and NGOs.

It should be controversial if more than half opposed Trump’s border measures hence the meaning of the word.
