Today, Chuck Schumer was in tears over President Donald Trump's several-nation, temporary immigration ban.
However, a little research shows that the same countries were singled out by Obama, with an effect of tightening entry to the United States by those countries:
According to the draft copy of Trump's executive order, the countries whose citizens are barred entirely from entering the United States is based on a bill that Obama signed into law in December 2015. Obama signed the Visa Waiver Program Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act as part of an omnibus spending bill. The legislation restricted access to the Visa Waiver Program, which allows citizens from 38 countries who are visiting the United States for less than 90 days to enter without a visa.
The language was contained in the OMNIBUS SPENDING ACT OF 2016, and the final vote for the bill was on December 18, 2015.
Guess who voted for it?
Senator Charles Schumer, (D) - NY.
So which is it, Senator? Is it good to restrict access to America by those specified nations -- nations that Obama specifically singled out -- or is it bad when Trump does the same thing?

Before the internet we would write a letter to the editor about the Democrats’ special pleading, then the issue was moot and we were dealing with a fresh duplicity from them.
Repeat this to an many people as you can: why is this such a terrible thing by Trump, per the MSM, if Obama did the exact same thing but not a peep out of the MSM?
He leaves it up to us to flush out the facts.

Not exactly, but close. The theme that is common between the two is further restricting access to the United States.
Did Obama actually enforce the law? Or was it an election year scam to give politicians cover?

Things have definitely been a little odd with Sen. Schumer as he initially indicated that he had a constructive attitude toward the Trump administration. I guess the globalists pay better...
