The countries on the list share a chaotic state of information. In Syria, given 5 years of civil war, there is no bureau or agency that has an adequate handle on the identity and history of people claiming to be Syrians. When you evaluate the application of a person claiming to be a refugee from Syria, or the other places involved in the ban, how do you investigate and verify the identity of that applicant? How do you find verifiable sources of information? The average American understands this practical reality, and will support the executive order. The demonstrations and hyperventilation in the press is so over the top - that it will have little practical effect. Trump should stay the course.
If Google wanted to help, they might consider how they could facilitate information that would help DHS and State to evaluate the veracity of the applications fore refugee status.
Apart from this aspect of the immigration problem, other elements, like accurately tracking people on visitors visas, could use assistance from the information technology and information system and security industries. Step up and offer some solutions!
