I was out to dinner with friends last night, a rare occasion of late, hadn’t seen them in over a year. We tried a new place, had a great time, seated in an indoor-outdoor space that could be enclosed and heated with a huge fireplace, seated right in front of it. They had a special on Patrón, $6.00 rocks with a lime wedge, so we ordered a round and then a second round before dinner. It was excellent, very mild, faintly peppery. None of the harshness or peculiarity of some tequilas. It’s filtered like the better vodkas are. I’d hate to pay the freight to buy a whole bottle, but it was nice.
Correction on the tequila, it was more specifically Roca Patrón Silver, I found out this morning.
