With secession threats looming, the state of California is reportedly studying ways to suspend financial transfers to Washington after the Trump administration threatened to withhold federal money from sanctuary cities.

With California counties among the Top 10 who stand to lose tax-payer funding for providing sanctuary to illegal immigrants...

KPIX5 reports that officials are looking for money that flows through Sacramento to the federal government that could be used to offset the potential loss of billions of dollars’ worth of federal funds if President Trump makes good on his threat to punish cities and states that don’t cooperate with federal agents’ requests to turn over undocumented immigrants, a senior government source in Sacramento said.

The federal funds pay for a variety of state and local programs from law enforcement to homeless shelters.

I say "find" them personally, legally liable for any crimes or damage caused by illegal aliens. Wrongful death, etc.

Or sue them in Federal Court and force legal compliance or suffer the consequences.

Federally regulated banks will comply with IRS lien requests. End of protest.

Correct, IRS or Treasury will impound California's accounts and all their checks will bounce.

Brown could try using some drug cartel banks in tax sheltered principalities, then he'd go to prison for life and not get a dime of the money back.

Muhaha... use the beloved liberal method of federalized lands to take over swaths of wild CA lands! We keep the hills with the gun owners, the rest of coastal liberals can enjoy earthquakes and tsunamis on
their own, asking help from illegals!

Cities should not be getting Federal money in the first place. They should be self sufficient.

Never happen. No guts left in America. California will tell the Federal Government to go to hell, and they will get away with it.

In case you didn't know it...Donald J Trump is now President. He not only has guts, he has bigger CAJONES than anyone in the land of fruits and nuts.

The state is already trashed ... what can California DO?

They have little agriculture left, snail darters have no value, no one can afford to live there, all anyone can do in California is complain about Conservatives ... in Spanish.

I don't understand why these kinds of articles/reports are getting any time.

It's like a lifer complaining about being locked up.

Ya ... so ?

“Yeah the hover Dam I believe was built by Cali. “

Nope, The US Bureau of Reclamation, US government, built the Hover dam.
All the other states were afraid Cali would take most of the water.

Absolutely. Hopefully we have enough Federal Marshals personnel to arrest these criminals.

Colorado River water cutoff? Hey, 70% of the entire backbone state water system is owned and operated by the Feds. The Cal State Water Project only supplies about 30% of system water. But the state has control over who gets that water through the Delta pumping plant.

California does the same thing with cities as the Fed is proposing. If you don’t build low income housing in your city the state diverts your HUD Community Development Block Grant funds to poverty cities. That would end because HUD funds would also be cut off.

So California thinks they can break the law and if we object they’ll break some more laws?

I know California is overwhelmingly blue, but at some point even most of the people in that state are gonna think all this secession talk is total madness.

Really? Get your facts straight

What would they do then? You ask.

They’d have to perform on all their obscene unfunded pension retirment plans for state & local gummit employees.

Plus any state. & local bonded indebtedness would prolly default too.

Staying in the union would be more likely to get them a pension bail out from DC.........

But thangs have changed.

Trump may just walk away from their cession threats & lettum hang

I say send in federal officers and arrest those public officials ordering non-compliance.

Yes. Set an example. Genghis Khan. Treason. Prison.

..........

That is exACTLEEEE what needs to be done and it should have been done on day one. Send in the Feds and arrest about 20 or 30 heads of cities counties and States. Charge them with terrorism and a hundred other things.
When the rest see that they will dig the new situation in town. A couple of days in with the inmates and they will come out singing a different tune.

Our laws are being broken by these individuals and they are helping and abetting these criminals by the thousands. Trump should not let them play politics with him. HAMMER TIME.
