Why the Media Keeps Losing to Donald Trump
Newsweek ^ | 01/26/2017 | Michael Wolff

Posted on 01/28/2017 2:08:24 PM PST by ForYourChildren

Donald Trump is obsessed with the media. And the media is obsessed with Trump. Let’s take it as a given that this obsession is unhealthy. The last time there was such a level of neurotic fixation and overwhelming distrust between a president and the press was during the Nixon administration. The current White House would be well aware that the press won that war—and that the stakes now can be mortal.

Indeed, each side believes that, given its druthers, the other would kill it. So how does this bitter and potentially lethal game play out?

The media is used to having their target fold and whimper.

Trump said he could teach the generals something about strategy. He certainly understand's tactics, the OODA loop, and the application of deception, maneuver and speed as conceived by the great Col. John Boyd. Trump drops decoys, they target and shoot, and he is three barrel rolls, two loops, ahead of them with a 10,000 ft altitude advantage and 300 kts speed, while they hit air.

The press is following is faux pas while Trump is free to deal in substance. Now the press is so distracted, discredited and irrelevant, that nothing they say matters. Oh... Trump did so and so. Well, if the press is against it, it must be ok.

Fools and stooges they are.

The MSM doesn’t realize that 140 characters and Skype is all the president needs these days to talk to America. The press can ask questions over skype which Spicer can select. The minute the MSM starts making stuff up, especially with anonymous sources, the administration can hold them accountable.

despite Trump’s victory flattening almost every media assumption about his supposed haplessness and lack of strategy.

What they miss is that Trump is a brilliant tactician. He is giving them the old razzle-dazzle, and they chase that last shiny thing. Oh, didn't like that one, here's another one, clothing is strategy in a body-guard of lies.

While he is cancelling the EPA, they are chasing one faux-pas. While he cancels TPP, the chase another. While he meets with unions, they chase a third. Not only are they pi$$ing in the wind, they are pi$$ing into the wind. It's hilarious. He has them in a reverse double pretzel hold and they think they are on top.

It’s just another partisan conflict. Because one side fancies itself to represent journalism makes it no more right or authoritative. Propagandists can call themselves whatever they want; it doesn’t change what they are.

Trump should quietly launch investigations into collusion between the media and the Hillary campaign.

When it finds it (it should have to look too hard), it should wait until the media loses almost all credibility. He should then have those colluding arrested on RICO, campaign finance and multiple wire and mail fraud violations, seize control of the media companies involved and force them to hire real editors and reporters.

High ground refers only to important strategic centers. Think of HG as military term, not a moral term.

The current White House would be well aware that the press won that war—and that the stakes now can be mortal.

Back then there was no AM radio, no internet, no FOX News and no social media. The American people now know that most of the media is nothing more than the propaganda arm of the DNC. Richard Nixon had no way to get around the media and present his side to the American people. Donald Trump does, and he's not afraid to do so. The legacy media has become irrelevant. They just haven't realized it yet.

The 5th Estate was hijacked by Marxists beginning with bridgeheads in the 30’s and massive salients in the 60’s, expanding to near total hegemony. All of their strategies were laid down in the era of the telephone, unmodified in the era of TV and are now trapped in a box canyon by the Internet which utterly destroys HIERARCHIES of data dissemination, period. Point to many information flow is simply futile in an electronically connected planet defined by LATERAL CROSSTALK. Being a one trick pony, the left and its media hacks are finding it necessary to undergo a process of self-lobotomy in order to not perceive their impending death. This is fundamentally why the left, and its contemporary Nazi neo con globalist handlers at Kissinger, Brzezinski & Associates, are committed to ending freedom of speech, freedom of thought and freedom of action. All the crypto-Nazi dumbing down feudalist peasant superstition hidden agendas are now revealed, a mouse click away. The ARISTOCRACY and its lefty bootlicks have packed the Titanic to the gunwales. Toooot!

Reagan was hailed for “going over the heads of the media.”

Trump makes Reagan’s efforts look tentative, weak, and ineffectual.

Trump won’t let MSM propagandists get away with lying, so they have less to do, and become petulant.
