My wife and I compete with the H1-Bs. My wife is currently unemployed and I've had my time there, too.

It's amazing how many H1-Bs are hired through Deloitte and other “consulting” companies (also Tata, Accenture, etc.) as a substitute for a US worker. They don't count as a foreign worker at that company because they are external consultants.

Thursday evening, I drove to a TA truckstop on I75 near The Villages, Florida to visit with a truck driver friend I met in the Bakken oil fields of North Dakota. During our joyous reunion recounting the recent elections, I went back out to my parked car to get something. Imagine my suprise as a busload non English speaking were unloading to get a bathroom and snack break... Having travelled extensively in Central and South America, I knew they were from Mexico... I overheard discussion about going north... If I hadnt wanted to get back to my friend asap, I would have stayed to evesdrop some more...
The next day I awoke to news that the mayor of MiamiDade county declaring that it would not be a sanctuary city... But that was all just coincidence...

Next time someone complains, “But a wall won’t work!” keep in mind that, as Netanyahu pointed out today, what they’re really concerned about is that a wall *will* work.
And anyone complaining that Mexican goods slapped with tariffs will cost Americans more: “Don’t buy Mexican c***.”
American growers will benefit, and without `night soil’ fertilization methods, if Mexican workers here on work permits are required to use Porta-potties.
And how many stuffed iguanas, wrestling masks and onyx checker sets do we need?

I saw a show about that on TV about 25 years ago-——it involved tomato growers.

I have not bought a Mexican tomato since then.

Tells you a lot about what is wrong with Mexico, just in this first paragraph.

Let’s not forget HP and HPE soon to merge with CSC and have a new name. Not to mention the hundreds of Indian recruitment and contract businesses taking over.

Good luck to you and your wife. My husband took SS early but I must stay on as long as possible. It’s tough as Americans are let go every week for workers “offshore” or what they now call “best shore”.

We also have to now contend with “fly ins”, that is what they are calling the workers they fly in for so many months, back and forth from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

You don’t need to own a stock to short it. You can buy puts. But, it looks like Western Union is already going down.

Trump should start with the USPS Dinero Seguro program https://www.usps.com/international/money-transfers.htm (scroll to the bottom). It allows cash payment for wire transfers to banks in Mexico and Latin America.

A 5 or 6 % federal fee on that money would go far to pay for the Wall.
