Celebrities Call For ‘Total Hollywood Strike’ Until Trump Resigns

Rosie O’Donnell, Amy Schumer, Miley Cyrus and George Clooney are part of a group of celebrities calling for a total Hollywood strike “until Trump resigns”.

A group of liberal Hollywood celebrities are threatening a “massive, all-round Hollywood strike” unless Donald Trump resigns. Describing Hollywood as “the base of the entire modern American culture“, the group also claims to be speaking on behalf of “all of humanity.”

“It’s about time people understood that we’re the ones with the power and that the president is there to serve us, not the other way around“, a spokesperson for the group told The New York Times.

“We’re calling for a general strike that would include every single person involved in making motion pictures in Hollywood, starting with the actors and celebrities themselves and encompassing companies in charge of making props, movie memorabilia and even souvenir shops.”

Spinzon reports: Rosie O’Donnell, Debra Messing, Ed Asner and Michael Shannon are among the dozens of artists, entertainers, and activists who have attached their names to an effort calling for a month-long protest to stop President-elect Donald Trump.

“No! In the Name of Humanity We Refuse to Accept a Fascist America!” reads a full-page ad placed in the New York Times on Wednesday by the group Refuse Racism. “Donald Trump, the President-elect, is assembling a regime of grave danger,” the ad says.

“Millions of people in the US and around the world are filled with deep anxiety, fear and disgust. Our anguish is right and just. Our anger must now become massive resistance – before Donald Trump is inaugurated and has the full reins of power in his hands.”

Other Hollywood celebrities who have also joined the campaign, however, are calling for an all-out strike that would span the entire movie industry in the hopes that such a move would urge the President-elect to resign from his position as the newly elected President of the United States.

“We’re calling for a general strike that would include every single person involved in making motion pictures in Hollywood, starting with the actors and celebrities themselves and encompassing companies in charge of making props, movie memorabilia and even souvenir shops,” a spokesperson for the Refuse Racism group told The New York Times. “It’s about time people understood that we’re the ones with the power and that the president is there to serve us, not the other way around.”

I have friends in Hollywood— not celebrities, but people behind the scenes in artistic design, camera work, special effects, sound and light stuff. The celebrities can live for awhile without work. My friends cannot, and they have families to feed.
More proof that the rich left does not care about working families— that they don’t even realize the devastation a strike wreaks.

Hmmm...8 years of Trump, then 8 years of Pence...

Maybe they have 16-years worth of money saved...

I think of the shows I watched in the mid to late 60’s.
Mannix, Mission Impossible, The FBI. Now, we don’t watch cable or network TV at all-just a few shows on hulu.

I worked as a co-op student during college (one semester of classes, then one semester of full-time work). The Chemical plant was unionized. The engineer in charge of us students used to go around the plant, encouraging workers to go on strike. He’d tell them: a). I need the money (working as replacements) and b). we’ll find a way to eliminate your job.

Sure enough, workers went on strike, he got his money and jobs were eliminated.

It was about time people understood government is there to serve the people, and thus Trump's election.

And on that note: The Jeffersonian Trump Flying Under the Radar….

These idiots remind me of the high school jock who refuses to understand that he has been out of high school for ten years.
Still walking around thumping their chests and acting like they are still the cock of the walk.

Sad, really sad.

Meanwhile, just as many Hollywood liberals are looking at them and saying “Wait, what?? SHUT THE HELL UP!!”

I love the smell of winning.

Back in the 70s, My family flew back from Hawaii on Christmas Day. Empty plane! 5 beautiful stewardesses, my family of four, and Ed Asner. Ed wanted some attention so he came back to impress my family. My Mom and Sis were polite. My Father wouldn’t even acknowledge Ed’s existence. I got up and went to the rear of the plane and partied with the stews!

Please do strike!!! American movies suck, I vowed not to watch another American movie months ago. They are too political and just plain stupid. Meryl, Charlie Sheen, Clooney, Rosey you are all dead to me! I’ll stick to Acorn & BBC for entertainment.

Please do. What a relief that would be. They are all talk, no action, like the commie-wood threat to leave the USA. Do it, please.

How typical for progressives to be selfish. THEY can afford to not work, all the other people related to the industry can’t. Do these people ever think? They delude themselves in thinking the entire country fawns over them, we don’t - just because we may enjoy the movies doesn’t mean you have any influence over my opinion. In their minds they’ve convinced themselves that because they’re rick and famous that they must also be more intelligent than everyone else. Incredibly narcissistic. They don’t realize that the IQ of their hard-core fans is low, they mistake that it translates into everyone else. It’s as though they believe nobody actually voted for Trump, that a “strange phenomena” happened and we ALL want it fixed.

Astonishing. Go ahead, maybe people will figure out that there’s actually better choice to make with your time and all they’ll accomplish is putting them out of work permanently.

They won’t do it because the fans who are their “useful idiots” may see the real world and real people for a while and wake up from their star-struck stupor.

"Rosie O’Donnell, Amy Schumer, Miley Cyrus and George

total Hollywood strike “until Trump resigns”."

The Hollywood people who have millions of dollars socked away
but lead a lifestyle of millions of dollars in expenses
are calling for a strike. Yeah. That will work for awhile.
Until the bills from their million dollar lifestyles come due.
