President Trump is seeking to slash the number of workers at the Environmental Protection Agency by at least half, leaving it significantly gutted as the administration mulls further cuts, the former head of Trump's EPA transition team said Friday.
"Let's aim for half and see how it works out, and then maybe we'll want to go further," Myron Ebell said now that he has returned to his position as director of the Center for Energy and Environment at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. Ebell left the Trump transition team a week ago.
Ebell told the Associated Press that Trump is likely to seek significant reductions in the agency's 15,000-person work force. Slashing half of the work force would leave 7,500 at the agency, which would dramatically reduce its capacity to move out regulations quickly.

The feds have no constitutional right or authority to meddle in or interfere with the environment or environmental issues. Those issues legally belong to the states.
Trump dismantling half of the EPA is an incremental step in the right direction. At some point however, the job needs to be completed by getting rid of the unconstitutional EPA altogether.
What part of getting shit done fits the conservative label. This doing shit is not conservative. Conservatives conserve what is, not make what isn't.

That’s part of the problem - these ex-hippie government types are burned-out druggies who think Castro and Che Guevara are the cat’s meow.
I assume this means he’s cutting the EPA in half. I don’t think he can ‘fire’ the workers (laws/regulations about that) without cause. So, he’ll reorganize that agency and probably distribute its non-retiring people to different jobs in the federal government. They’re probably disproportionate liberal, so where in the Fed would they do the least damage?
I’d probably put them in HHS, DOL, OR DOT.
Tell them there is a job they can have, only problem is it is on the other side of the US and moving expenses are on them. And they have a 1 year probationary period in the new job.

Newt is going to be happy. Back in 1995 I lost a job at the EPA when the government shutdown - because Bill Clinton stood up a stove pipe 1000 plus EPA organization in DC.

Thank you President Trump for stopping the countless anti energy regulations of the communist run EPA. The whole agency is worthless and should be destroyed as well as the hateful IRS and the evil NEA. Democrats should not be allowed to teach children lies and homosexuality at all.
Sounds good to me. I’m not sure a one year probation would negate fed employment laws/regulations

Or not be taxed based on the square footage of your roof and driveways, because rainwater then goes into the sewer drains instead of the ground. That extra flow eventually costs the city/county extra $’s to maintain those sewer drains. Then some cities and counties. Of course that the sewer tax ends up on your property tax bill.
Had to buy one of those gas cans...they are a major pain in the rear.
