You got it. I see pig people everywhere.
I’m not “concern trolling”. There are very real scientific and ethical concerns here. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4928294/
You jest, I’m sure, but call me crazy if you want, there are a lot of pig farmers in NC and you can spot some of them, they begin to look rather porcine over the generations, particularly in the face. The genetic compatibility noted with transplant tissue might move in more ways than we understand. Flame away, I know it sounds ridiculous, but there you go, I’ve tossed it out there, lol.
There is something innately evil about this.
From your article:
Scientists and physicians have a critical role in explaining the medical needs, the advantages and limits of this potential medical procedure, and the ethical boundaries that must not be trespassed. If these prerequisites are met, acceptance of such a new, borderline medical procedure may prevail, as happened before for in-vitro fertilization or preimplantation genetic diagnosis.

The goal is to grow an animal with a transplantable organ, but with no other characteristics of a human.
Al Gore?
Yep.
