Trump argument bolstered: Clinton received 800,000 votes from noncitizens, study finds

Hillary Clinton garnered more than 800,000 votes from noncitizens on Nov. 8, an approximation far short of President Trump’s estimate of up to 5 million illegal voters but supportive of his charges of fraud.

Political scientist Jesse Richman of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, has worked with colleagues to produce groundbreaking research on noncitizen voting, and this week he posted a blog in response to Mr. Trump’s assertion.

Based on national polling by a consortium of universities, a report by Mr. Richman said 6.4 percent of the estimated 20 million adult noncitizens in the U.S. voted in November. He extrapolated that that percentage would have added 834,381 net votes for Mrs. Clinton, who received about 2.8 million more votes than Mr. Trump.

Mr. Richman calculated that Mrs. Clinton would have collected 81 percent of noncitizen votes.

“Is it plausible that non-citizen votes added to Clinton’s margin? Yes,” Mr. Richman wrote. “Is it plausible that non-citizen votes account for the entire nation-wide popular vote margin held by Clinton? Not at all.”

Still, the finding is significant because it means noncitizens may have helped Mrs. Clinton carry a state or finish better than she otherwise would have.

800,000, 2 million, 4 million.

Looks like we need to investigate this!

Mrs. Clinton would have collected 81 percent of noncitizen votes.

Because the other 19 percent would have voted to be sent home :) WTH?!?!

Probably a lot more. It’s probably 5x that many.

The dems know the investigation will uncover fraud, which by itself is a quite an admission from some saying that fraud doesn’t exist. I think they are going to try to create the narrative that the prevalence of fraud isn’t as bad as the investigation finds, and that the investigation is overstating the problem.

Extrapolations are not real numbers, but at least it’s not being totally ignored.

You have that right.

It also means that certain democrats were illegally elected in close congressional, state, and local races.

These are not necessarily people who are here illegally.

I agree that voter fraud is real, and way more than 800,000 illegals voted in the last election. I’m sure that was just the tip of the ice berg, and doesn’t include all the other ways fraud occurs.

If the left is permitted to pigeonhole the discussion into purely noncitizen voting, we will not get to the bottom of the real fraud machine of long standing in this country. Multiple votes, dead voters voting, etc.

Tally it all up and it’s in excess of Trump’s estimation. It may well be in excess purely on illegal aliens voting since the base assumption of total number is likely very low, and the assumption that any significant amount of these votes went to Trump is clearly in error. But, we desperately need to uncover and clean out all vote fraud.

I’m hoping that the President has placed the election integrity issue at the top of his list.

Every voting anomaly always breaks in favor of the Democrats.

Here are some more Democrat voters that probably got counted.

Perhaps, if they were just counting the ILLEGAL votes in California, I would accept the 800,000; however, I find that figure far too low, if you count ALL of the ILLEGAL voter fraud in the rest of the states too.

Ditto to Regulator Country, so here's my fearless prediction. A formal investigation is going to prove that there was a LOT of voter fraud when all the illegal aliens, double voting, fraudulent miscounts, and dead people are added up. And then - TOUGH voter ID laws will be passed by Congress, just in time for 2018.

Hey Democrats - TRUMP IS YOUR DADDY!

We want to see real numbers from CA & NY. This phony extrapolation asks us to believe that only 81% voted to stay here by voting for Hillary....highly unlikely.
