I believe God designed us and meant for us to be able to make atom bombs or edit our genomes.
Why do you think this technology and progress all happened in the Christian west?
Matthew 19. After Jesus refers to God's original purposes for marriage, He is asked, "Why then did Moses command to GIVE HER A CERTIFICATE OF DIVORCE AND SEND her AWAY?" Jesus then answers, "Because of your hardness of heart Moses permitted you to divorce your wives; but from the beginning it has not been this way. And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery" (Matthew 19:7-9).
We can't help but do evil, but it's not what God intends. I could go walk outside and push an old lady into traffic if I felt like it. Or mess with your genes and give you 12 eyes (you would be able to see 360 degrees) God would not be pleased
