In some of his strongest comments yet, Mayor Martin J. Walsh lambasted President Donald Trump’s threats to pull federal funding to sanctuary cities and pledged Wednesday to shelter undocumented immigrants at City Hall as a last resort.
“If people want to live here, they’ll live here. They can use my office. They can use any office in this building,’’ Walsh said at a Wednesday press conference at City Hall moments after Trump vowed to crack down on immigrants.
In a show of defiance, Walsh — flanked by black, Latino, and Asian staff members and elected officials at the City Hall event — responded strongly following Trump’s press conference in Washington, D.C., in which the president signed executive orders aimed to clamp down on illegal immigration.
“Washington is advancing the most destructive and un-American threat on America during the campaign,’’ Walsh said. “The latest executive orders and statements by the president are a direct attack on Boston’s people, Boston’s strength and Boston’s values.”

Actually the mayor is right... it IS a direct attack. It’s a direct attack on the complacency that led to the widespread problem of illegals in every corner of the country in the first place. It’s a direct attack on the gross mismanagement of the most basic tenet of national security — that being national sovereignty. And finally .. damned right.. it’s a direct attack on self-serving assholes like Walsh who put us there.
Send truckloads of homeless and unload in front of his office building with instructions to make themselves at home.
It is an attack, on lawlessness. I don’t agree with cutting off money, I say arrest these officials like they did the little lady who wouldn’t certify gay marriages.
As Trump says: A nation exists to serve its citizens.
The key problem that has been uncovered is that our government hates its own citizens and exists to serve illegal immigrants, foreign nations and Islamic terrorists.
I am fine with Sanctuary cities.....just don’t ask me to pay for them. The people who support these policies should pay for them.
Good question. Considering they came from a country that was for 800 years under occupation by a neighboring power, one would think they'd have an appreciation for the concept of national security.

Zero funds to any sanctuary city. Further, boycott these cities. President Trump to do same, issue directive to all government agencies that so long as any city, county, or state declares themselves sanctuaries or refuse to follow US laws re illegal aliens, then NO GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE OR AGENCY DO BUSINESS, HOLD MEETINGS OR CONFERENCES, or TRAVEL THERE.
Maybe he can give up the unused bedrooms in his home and house them as well.

It’s just an Irish stronghold. So the rats as well as the good guys would be Irish.
