If talks fail then I imagine the U.S. would be the first to leave.

Cool.Avocados will be $7.50/lb....Mexican built cars will cost 50% more....

Since the cartels have their hands in the Mexican avocado trade, good riddance.

“Blood Avocados”: The Dark Side of Your Guacamole

which will provide incentives for American Farmers to grow them, and car manufacturers to move production back to the US. . .

We grow bigger and better avocados here in Florida anyway. We'll just grow more. California grows plenty too.

As far as cars go: "Hire American, Buy American"

We better build the wall higher. Mexico will go under without our aid and trade.

I meant for the world, not for Trump. I know how he handles a day. Get the nuts and bolts sorted out early so the team can hit the ground running when they get engaged.

“This like a kid coming to your door and demanding you have Snickers bars for Trick-or-Treat. When you say: “No.” The kid threatens not to come to your house on Halloween.”

Yes. Good analogy.

It was prior to NAFTA. It was simply called the Free Trade Agreement. Just Canada and the US. Basically lowered tariffs on stuff on both sides of the border. Was agreed upon in 1988. Was replaced by NAFTA in 1994.

Why do rich countries keep including these Second and Third World dumps in these trade deals?

Maybe because they represent a big market for our companies?

Mexicans buy $270B of our goods each year. That's a lot of US jobs.

“Badgers” is of course actually the Weird Al reference from the movie UHF.

Yeah, but the American ones won’t give you the ptomaine poisoning that the Mexican ones do. Guess Mexican ones are more “authentic”.
