If Chicago doesn't fix the horrible "carnage" going on, 228 shootings in 2017 with 42 killings (up 24% from 2016), I will send in the Feds!
I think if Trump told the Chicago PD he had their back it would go a long way to fixing the law enforcement side of things. Lest we forget, Chicago PD was one of many the DOJ was targeting so it is little wonder the police are not very aggressive. They have been targeted by the DOJ more than the thugs.

There is nothing in there that says the Federal government has to make my neighborhood safe from common criminals. That is the city’s job or at the most the State’s job.
Well yes, Trump could call of the DOJ and let the Chicago police do their jobs. I agree with that. But that doesn’t sound like what he is proposing.
Indiscriminate shootings is not an insurrection based on personal grudges, lack of impulse control, or wanting someone’s sneakers is not and insurrection.
These murders are not part of a planned operation for a political objective.
You would not have to endure either one if you stay out of Chicago.
What is going on in Chicago is not a riot or an insurrection. They are isolated murders or attempted murders, and your garden variety armed robberies, etc.
City should handle the problem, or state police if needed.

Yes, I think that is exactly what it is. I don’t like the idea of feds taking over cities, but if girly men like Rahm are going to participate in CNN and DisruptJ20’s crowd size psy-op, then The Donald isn’t going to take that sitting down.
