Why Trump’s con can’t last forever
The Washington Post ^ | January 24, 2017 | Katrina vanden Heuvel

Posted on 01/24/2017 10:43:34 AM PST by detective

From the start of his short, truculent and unabashedly populist inaugural address, President Trump called out the Washington establishment: “For too long, a small group in our nation’s capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have borne the cost. Washington flourished, but the people did not share in its wealth. Politicians prospered, but the jobs left, and the factories closed. The establishment protected itself, but not the citizens of our country.”

He painted a dystopian picture of the United States and promised: “This American carnage stops right here and stops right now.”

What “con?” Either get on the Trump train or get left in your own stinking dust.

You're right Katrina. After eight years of Obama, America
has become Utopia, Obama's farts don't smell and Unicorns
are now frolicking in the streets and parks of America.

Know thy enemy.

I actually think everyone who posts from MSM sources should get a kudo for saving us the trouble. I can catch the drift from the excerpt and comments and therefore, the outlet gets at least one less click. If I need more, I can wait a few days and read it on a blog or watch a 3”-5” video clip.

The con is all on the left. Trump is doing exactly what he promised and began doing so before being inaugurated. He gets more done before lunch, so far, than zer0 accomplished in a month. The difference is, what Trump is doing is helping the country and us, while his predecessor inflicted pain and suffering, along with a condescending lecture.

Oh, and before I forget: there is a Trump TV channel on YouTube.

I truly believe Trump could fart fresh air and the media would attack him for reducing his carbon footprint in order to appease his constituents.

I keep hearing an echo of same words, over and over, for almost a year now. It’s like what the Jamaican waitress tells you when you ask her about your order of conch soup. “Soon come, soon come”.

Trump is expected to tell the truth while the media is allowed to lie like dogs.

You can always count on putrid yellow “journalism” and lies from the commie rag WashPo. They’ll lie 16 ways to Wednesday to aid their commie overlords in the demonrat party. It’s all they ever do.

Their trash isn’t even worth reading.

Try driving in the Northern Virginia and Maryland areas surrounding DC. The wealth is unbelievable, and it extends for miles. The politicians and lobbyists have indeed gotten rich. The Compost should turn in its journalism credentials for publishing that garbage.

>> It’s “Trust Fund Katrina” Vanden Heuvel Champion of the little people

It's ironic that Kellyanne Conway is a farm girl from South Jersey who picked blueberries during the summer but somehow Vanden Heuvel represents the little people.

"Trump needs to develop a strategy to get the truth to the American people."

How about running for president and winning?

President Trump must get the FCC to force a 1 hour prime time of all the major networks to broadcast truth or lose their license.

Networks don’t have FCC licenses. Neither do cable channels. Only individual broadcast stations have FCC licenses.
