For all we know, and this would not be unlike the Donald, he may have TOLD Chuckie, draw up a bill with what you’d want in an infrastructure bill, and we’ll work from there.

Of course they will. This gives them a slightly firmer foundation to scream. Their base will eat it up. I can just hear one of my wife’s lib kook friends picking up the chorus —”Trump lied about infrastructure! IMPEACH!”

If it is a democrat plan then you can bet that about $100 B might go to infrastructure while the other $900 B will all be pork.

Screw that. Why should people in Fargo pay for subways in NY or bridges in San Francisco? I opposed it when 0bama wanted to do it, when Bill Clinton wanted it...and when Trump wants it.

If it passes, someone had better keep a sharp eye and a tight grip on the money to see that it actually goes where it’s intended, or it will be another shovel ready Obloviate boondoggle.

An infrastructure plan is surely and sorely needed, but it MUST come from the Trump Administration.

Trust the dhimmicrats not one inch !

It's a shamelessly blatant attempt to steal DJ's thunder on this issue, one with which they were unconcerned prior to Trump's including it in his platform.

I don’t think that’s the kind of infrastructure Trump was thinking about.

Those are pork barrel projects designed to benefit people ion the cities.

I think what he was talking about was infrastructure across America where every day people live and work.

NEW PROJECTS is not what I consider to be infrastructure spending.

Infrastructure spending is repairing/renovating the old but still usable.

Every state should submit a prioritized list that is prioritized in terms of greatest economic return, and from that list those projects providing the greatest national economic return should be chosen. I’d probably acknowledge that each state should have some participation via some project. Like with the electoral college...smaller states need some protection.

Tell democrats they cannot be trusted.

EXAMPLE: This is their non-bi-partisan list. How about some proof of democrat good-willed bi-partisanship?

Trump has taken a huge bite out of the democrat union voters. You would have him flush it down the drain? The next four years are crucial to our cause. The tent must be made as large as possible. Unions are in the middle of an epiphany and will soon start replacing liberal union leaders. Don’t blow that please.

“Schumer-backed plan?

Let’s read it before we pass it.”

You clearly don’t know Schumer very well. The only proper response is to snidely reject it out-of-hand as another means of corruptly paying off Dem toadies and not doing anything of substance, and to then come up with a plan of your own. Something tells me that this is just about what Trump will do (maybe not so snidely as I would, but then again I don’t have to govern or get my nominees approved).

At first glance, less than half of it is infrastructure, and much of that is the light rail boondoggles.

The democrat way is to pass it before you can see what’s in it.

Why don’t the ‘Rats just ask Trump to change parties and become ‘Rat?

That is the equivalent of buying into this ‘Rat plan.

They have to know it’s DOA... why would they waste their time?

So they can say they're trying to reach out to him, but when he vetoes it, media-hogs Graham, McCain and Schumer can do what they love (which isn't representing the interests of their respective states) which is go in front of the media, and say that Trump doesn't care about the infrastructure of the country.

I really, really hope he understands the game they're playing. Not to insinuate he doesn't know the gamesmanship, but he has to say no at every juncture.
