Donald Trump hasnt even been president for a week and it is already becoming clear that the left isnt going to hesitate to criticize him every way possible. Apparently, that includes mocking his family and young son.
During the inauguration, many on the left criticized Trumps 10-year-old son Barron for his facial expressions and one liberal writer even labeled him as a future school shooter.
Chelsea Clinton recently weighed in on the criticism of Barron Trump and defended him.
Kind of
From The Daily Caller:
Chelsea Clinton said that Barron Trump, President Donald Trumps 10-year-old son, should be given the opportunity to live a normal life, but made sure to to take a jab at his father at the same time.
She used both Twitter and Facebook to explain that for Barron to be an ordinary kid, people must also oppose POTUS polices that hurt kids.
Clinton just couldnt help herself and used a Donald Trump attack to defend Barron.
Trumps policies hurt children? Thats a new one.
Very bold of Chelsea to defend Barrons right to be a kid. As if that was ever in doubt.
It appears a simple repudiation of vile attacks on a 10-year-old without the infusion of politics is too much to ask for.

POTUS polices that hurt kids.

Them polices be hurtin’ them kids? Shame on them.
Wha? What did Reset say that set you off so? I didn’t see anything offensive.
He meant Chelsea. I understood that. No worries.
What specifically make you suspect autism?
Oops! make = makes
I appreciate all that you have to say about autism, it’s very interesting and I’m glad there appears to be new therapies to help kids.
I just don’t see Barron as autistic. He just seems shy and maybe a little sensitive. He reminds me a lot of my daughter, who is 9, very quiet and a highly-intelligent, straight A student. I can see her acting in just the same way - she would stand with us as is required, because she’s well behaved, but not exactly project. Or maybe Barron is reserved because he has been raised to behave like a gentleman.
Now my son, totally different kid. HIGH ENERGY, lol. He’d be up there hamming it up as if HE were president. But the contrast doesn’t make me think my daughter is autistic, they are simply different kids.
But, yeah you are the expert not me. I just think so much of this autism speculation is the product of the instinctual reaction to Barron’s height in contrast to his age-appropriate demeanor. It’s reflective of a cognitive dissonance that we have to correct in ourselves, not any kind of flaw in the boy.
Oh, ha ha, now I see it. :)
This kid looks great and acts just like my 10 year grandson who is smart as a whip. But still a gawky, gangling goofy boy.
Let's just leave the kid alone.
Presidential children should be left alone even as adults unless they inject themselves independently into the public sphere. Chelsea Clinton did so in her 20s by becoming a “journalist” for much more money than is reasonable for a recent college grad. “[C]orrupt, greedy, entitled” does not adequately capture the arrogance of her or her parents.
Eric, Donald Jr., and Ivanka are fair game for public discussion as all three have on their own become public figures. Son-in-Law Jared Kushner is now a political appointee and for good or bad, also subject to public discussion. Barron is 10 years old, his biggest concern should be that daddy is working late.
This of course does not include the deliberate intrusions by deranged hacks like Ivanka and her family suffered. That is just asking for getting a richly deserved a— kicking.
Calling Autism a flaw is like calling “being left-handed” a flaw. Autism is just a flaw to the extent it prevents people being able to function with other people. It’s a condition where their brains process things differently and with appropriate help they can learn to adapt and thus better function in society. And its never the person’s fault that they have autism no more than its someone’s fault if they have blue eyes.
