Barcelona (AFP) - Spain voiced alarm Monday as the US White House's Spanish-language website vanished after Donald Trump came to power, saying removing it was "not a good idea" in a country with millions of Hispanics.
But White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer later eased concerns, saying the website was merely being updated.
"We are continuing to build out the website both in the issue areas and in that area," he told reporters in response to a question over when the Spanish version of the site would be running again.
"We have got the IT folks working overtime right now to continue to get all of that up to speed and trust me, it's going to take a little more time but we are working piece by piece to get that done."

What are millions of people doing here if they don’t speak English?
Those millions of people should move to a country where the websites are in Spanish.
What is a Spain, nothing happens there, bull running and that’s it.
For English, just sit back and relax.
For any other language... push away from your desk, pack, and move to the nation of your choice.
I’ve never been treated with greater kindness by strangers than when I’ve traveled in Spain.
Did they also remove the German, Italian, Swahili, French, Yiddish, Chinese, Arabic, and Russian web sites?
Oh wait - they didn’t have those. So then why the heck should they have a Spanish one?

Minniesoda and its DC contingent has slipped quite a bit in stature since the days of HHH and the old DFL.
The only way to go is up toward the bottom of the barrel bottom, from Dayton as Gub, Klobuchar and Franken as Senators,, and the Viqueens,, it doesn’t get anymore bleak that that.
Fortunately, All my relatives live outside the major metro areas, folks there have enough common sense to not vote for Libs in Dem clothing and fall for the old line that Bigger Gubamint is Better Gubamint.
.. most meat processing and farming corps use illegal labor from you know where, how the heck they handle the winters is beyond me.. Meanwhile Senators with smartphones, dumb as rocks themselves, party.
..and Trump has pissed off one more socialist country by yanking their website down. I feeel a march coming on.. :-)
