The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 55% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trumps job performance. Forty-four percent (44%) disapprove.
The latest figures include 39% who Strongly Approve of the way Trump is performing and 35% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of +4.
Voters overwhelmingly followed Trumps first day in office on Friday, but Republicans were a lot happier with it than others were. . .

Get the smelling salts. The MSM will be hitting the floor about now.
About 40% of our population is beyond hope.
We’ll have to drag them along, kicking and screaming.
I say the ‘Progressives’ will try to double down on the negativity to drag DJT into the pits.
As the TRUMP ADMINISTRATION keeps winning, his popularity will continue to soar.
I agree! And he’s on a roll today :) Love our “Day 1”
Even if the numbers stay where they are for four years, his re-election is assured.
I see...one day into the job and the MSM clowns are taking polls to rate his job performace. Really? Given their penchant for fake news and stunts like this to “make” news, you’d think they’d figure out why no one pays them any attention.
The media and the Marxist anarchists will have their say for four years of the influence war.
This is VERY unlikely to be a cheery four years in the streets. If HISTORY means anything, anarchy and the media are much more activist-radical under any Republican president.
It was plenty bad under Obama, because he encouraged them to the streets, despised the cops himself from the beginning, and wanted the downfall of the churches and the institutions, and encouraged the perversions to become mainstream.
Absolutely there has been no cheerful signs that will change. And then there is Hollywood and academia and the Establishment pols in DC, who are out of control.
Our future, in my personal opinion is my tag line. Until that is “fixed”, nothing will change.
Rasmussen polls on this question at least 360 days a year—they take Christmas and a couple of other holidays off, but on the whole try to give an absolutely continuous picture. I believe that they were polling for both Trump and Obama for the first weeks of January, and likely back into December, if not November. Given that the transition is something that people could legitimately have an opinion on, starting early is not a bad idea. I haven’t been following closely, but I believe that he has been trending up.
Hurrah!
Great graphic!!
What good is a poll showing how good a horse is running in a race when the horse is still standing in the starting gate?
Good point.
Good grief! Why would you poll on job performance on a daily basis? Sounds like a full employment act for poll takers.
I know for an Election, we would want to know what likely voters think, but in this case, so far removed from one, wouldnt it make sense to go with US adults? I mean, I know the numbers get worse for conservatives the more we get away from the likely voter cohort, but it does seem more honest.
I guess this is where we get the discrepancy between 40 and 55 % approval.
Rasmussen was right on the money for the election poll; had Hillary by 2 and Hillary won the popular vote by 2

Considering the MSM job performance ratings... why would anyone believe them??..That's something THEY should ponder
Fox keeps saying Trump at 45% so I email ed this article to them and challenged them to stop the fake news.
Last Friday Trump was at 56%. At the rate he is gathering jobs and reducing taxes and regulation he is going to be in Reagan territory in a month.
Why is Real Clear Politics still showing Obama’s approval number?!
Could they kindly move on to Trump? Just Damn.
