Charles Krauthammer reacted to President Trump‘s inaugural address by saying “they’re quaking in their boots in foreign capitals” right now.
He said that Trump’s “aggressive” and “hyper-nationalist” talk definitely got the attention of America’s allies, considering how Trump once again today pushed his populist America First message.
Krauthammer noted that phrase in particular will be resonant, as it sends the message, “We constructed a world where we carried a lot of you… that game is over, you’re on your own. That is an amazing message for an inaugural address.”

It was more like we’ll stand by our allies but it’s time for them to pay their fair share.
The Media and the “international community” miss the lofty platitudes of previous inaugural addresses.
They’re not on their own. But the message is you better pony up and treat us like your benefactors if you want the benefits.

Quaking in their boots?
Before Trump they were either laughing at us, angry at us, taking advantage of us or plotting against us.
Many of them have been getting away with murder, both literally and figuratively , at our expense for decades
Given the above, I am strangely unconcerned about the whole quaking in the boots thing and perhaps I’m even a bit encouraged

It probably is a shock. It’s been America LAST for the last eight years.
“hyper-nationalist”
Why is it hyper-nationalist for the reps the people elect to work for the PEOPLE? We don’t elect them to rep foreign countries and foreign interests. And this ridiculous comparison to Hitler - Hitler wanted to expel CITIZENS which he eventually exterminated - this is a totally different thing. Enforcing border LAWS already on the books is not “hyper-nationalist”, it is not “Hitler”, same with wanting to prevent FOREIGN radical Islamic terrorists from coming in to kill US CITIZENS, that is NOT being Hitler and “hyper-nationalist”. It’s unbelievable how they twist this.
Time to cut off the international welfare at the expense of the American middle class.
All this winning is really getting old...../S
